I wear a camo hat around at times and thats it. I do it because it is the most comfortable hat I have ever worn. I hate walking into a gas station before or after a hunt in camo. I feel awkward. And isnt camo supposed to hide you in the woods. In the city everyone who wears it sticks out like a sore thumb and looks dumb. lol. My cousin from Alabama wears camo ALL the fing time and when with him I feel awkward.
Thanks for all the replys. I am almost a straight A student and the farthest thing from white trash, but I get and appreciate everyone's opinion. I would never consider wearing camo pants to school but I see no problem with wearing a real tree shirt to school. Some people love sports and were college related sports shirts to school all the time. it's what they like.
Well WTF am I going to do with my Denard Robinson jersey? My kids and I all have one. Those who are against wearing jersey's in my experience do so because they can not fill them out in the shoulders. They are built like little girls.
The only time I wear camo is when I hunt or scout. I wouldn't put too much into what my folks bought me for clothes when I was a kid other then they wanted us to look nice. Nothing could beat jeans, a light weight black jacket and Nike' tennis shoes back in the days of women chasing. I might not be a fashion dude compared to hooker and others but I do own a suit and wear it once in a great while. Usually funnels. I have a collection of 4 ties where the first one dates back to the early 80's. Since the 80's... I have owned 4 suits and 1 sports jacket. I can honestly say... I have never eaten in a place or even frequented a place where a tie was manditory. Heck I can't even think of a place in ND where a tie is manditory. I would wear a camo tire before I would wear a faggy bow tie. Other then my wedding and my brother's wedding, no bow tie has graced this neck. I hate them !! I like and wear cowboy boots but hell will freeze over before I would ever wear a cowboy hat. I will wear cowboy boots with my suit to weddings. When the drinking starts... you just never know how deep it is going to get or where you might end up before the night is over so dress shoes are a bad choice... IMHO !!! Tim
I have a pair of camo shorts I wear sometimes in the summer! http://www.armynavysuperstores.com/bduhgfsho3.jpg I'm not sure why, though :D
The one thing worse than wearing a Pro team jersey is a grown man wearing a jersey of an 19 year old kid...
I've said it before, but folks wear camo around here all the time. Not head to toe, but you'll see camo jackets and hats just about everywhere. I sometimes wear my NatGear jacket out into the big wide world of not hunting, because it's warmer than my other stuff and it's certainly cheaper than most women's jackets. I feel less awkward wearing that or my army jungle camo pants out in public than I have been carrying my Coach handbag (gift from mom). I had to toss my ballistic nylon one in the wash... too much mud and blood caked on it. :D I do judge people a bit by their clothes or appearance but very, very little. I've been around for far too long and have met too many people to be that shallow. I do however judge that whatever Hooker says that has to do with 'real men' probably is pretty far from it.
I only wear camo if I'm hunting or using to keep warm while ice fishing. I haven't put on a team jersey of any kind since playing sports in high school. BTW....a man wearing a team jersey with another man's name on it is gay IMO.
Its a camo shirt every now and then. Its not like he is wearing a confederate flag or a BIG Johnson shirt. Its to school on occasion. Its not like the kid is wearing it to stand before the priest at mass. No I am not catholic but, I do know that would be way wrong of him in some peoples eyes. Then again, God doesn't judge nor does he care what a man is wearing. I personally wear a camo shirt on occasion to go out to Walmart. I can assure you that if I do not wear one to PF Changes or any where else that is in appropriate dress. That being said, if the dress code allows it, it is appropriate. One of the things that is wrong with this world today is that there are to many people judging by the outside and what a person is wearing. I bet if people who do judge as much as some do would just stop, the world would be better off.
Who is bent of out shape? People are merely giving their opinions regarding the subject of the thread.
I wear one of my older waterfowl jackets when I am walking from the dorms to class or supper when its cold or snowing, but i draw the line there. I wouldn't wear camo button down shirts or anything like that in school. if you like wearing camo just wear a camo jacket or fleece. once you get to your locker take it off for the rest of the day. then other people can still see what your passion is and what you are about, but you won't be over doing it.
IDK how important girls are in your life yet....but you will start pulling 10x the women when you give up the camo clad redneck attire. Take it from a KY boy who spent half his high school with camo something on. Dressing nicer transposes a message in all aspects of life whether we like it or not. I am still a country guy at heart, but dressing nicer has done nothing but improve my life in social, educational, and professional aspects. That said, there are certain lines even I won't cross. Vests and Bowties being two of them. lol
The most camo I wear is a ball cap, but do I care if anyone else does? No. Why? Cause It doesn't matter. If you were to where a Marilyn Manson shirt I'd be like "This guy's into some crazy shizznit." But would I care? Highly dought it.
