Take time to watch this... And I would enjoy your thoughts on it. And it's Kony not knoy.lol
Agree. At first I wasn't going to watch it because it was nearly 30 minutes long and I have a pretty short attention span. Glad I did and I recommend everyone else to as well. While I don't believe the US needs to be the world's police, I have a hard time seeing this and have nothing be done about it. Nothing bothers me more than to see kids suffer through things like this, that can be stopped. It's also amazing to see how fast this is taken off and how these people are spreading the word. The quote at the beginning speaks volumes. "Nothing is more powerful than an idea, whose time has come."
http://blog.joerenken.com/2012/03/07/invisible-children-and-kony-2012-exposed/ Take it for what it's worth.
Well made video and I'm not against the movement or anything but removing one murdering warlord from Africa won't fiix the problems there that lead people like him to power. http://ilto.wordpress.com/2006/11/02/the-visible-problem-with-invisible-children/
The Lord's Resistance Army, formally the Holy Spirit Movement, was formed to make Uganda a christian nation. Kony considers himself a great christian, and he is doing the work he is instructed to by the angels.
He is either clinically insane or using religion to gain himself power (leaning towards the latter). Nothing to do with actual christianity either way.
Great cause but I don't think it's going to solve anything. It's going to continue to go on no matter who we catch or what we do. I'm willing to bet that a lot of the people in our country demanding troops be sent over are the same people that are going to complain about us having troops over there after a soldier gets killed.
When we deal with definitions correctly, honestly, intelligently... all becomes clear. What is meant by religion... as intended by Christ? James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. I am just taking a wild guess that few of us have a problem with that kind of "religion" as defined correctly. Do we see the problem? It's ignorance of what constitutes true religion that allows false religion to prosper. Then out of ignorance, the good gets confused with the bad. That which is false has to be tossed, so that we can do that which is true. Colossians 2:23 These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh. James 1:26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Just something to think about.
