never had an issue moving them I usually just separate in in about the middle and carry that way.. I can take a set down along with my loc on and have set up on another tree in short order ..

If you like the other ones then by all means buy them... and lets us know how the worked for you next season..

    Good luck..

The TMA doesn't test anything. They only provide a guideline for minimum standards in tree stand manufacturing. The manufacturer would have to hire a 3rd party testing company to test the product to see if it meets or exceeds the minimum standards of the TMA. I personally do not know if the TMA standards include climbing steps or not.

Not necessarily in this order, but these are key features I'd like to see.

    - Lightweight
    - Quiet
    - Pack together easily
    - Easy to setup
    - Safe/durable
    - Combination of single and double steps (Configurable would be nice, but doesn't need to be tool-less) (I'd like 1 stick with double at the bottom (to hand an aider from), and another stick with double at the top (to make in/out of stand easy), the other 2 sticks can all be single.)
    - all single step portions need to be able to be switched side to side (I like the LW method)
    - That folding bracket thing looks like it could be pretty slick, but I'd like to see it first.

From everything I've seen, my current plan is to stick with LW this year and pickup one of their new quiver attachments. I may consider making a double step or 2 to replace a single step or 2 on my existing sticks. I'd also like to try out XOP's new sticks, I like the looks of the cam lock together feature. I'd also consider buying a single stick of something with 2 step capabilities, just to use as my bottom stick (muddy would be the most likely but your sticks may fit that bill too).

I thought TMA did testing of protypes testing of hunting products? and if it failed they would give feedback to that company for improvements.

    Here's the TMA's Disclaimer:

The TMA does not design, certify, approve, test, review, or provide any customer service for any products, including but not limited to members’ products listed on this web site. The TMA mark should not be construed as an approval of design by TMA. Any product listed on this website indicates that the TMA has been provided with an acknowledgement demonstrating that a representative production model has been tested by a third party testing firm and certified by that testing firm to meet or exceed industry standards recognized by TMA. TMA is not involved in and thus not responsible for the design, quality control and/or safety of the product or end user. It is the responsibility of each end user to safely use the product as it was intended to be used and according to manufacturer’s instructions.

They allow 3rd party companies to test a product to their standards, but do not do the actual testing. I did see that they have a standard for testing tree steps, but they do not publish it for us all to see so I don't know what it consists of. I did look to see if I saw Odin as is a member of the TMA, and I did not see them listed. It may be that they are such a new company that they have not gotten through that process. I really don't want to come off like I'm totally discounting them as a viable option, I just think for the price and my safety concerns there are other options that would be much higher on my list.

I agree, my only hang up is that the steps are easily removable. I like what that does for me but being removable isn't something I need. So, I'd need to make sure that feature wouldn't cause problems. (lost steps, difficulty packing, difficulty switching sides while climbing etc.) It's hard to say just looking at the video.

I think you or me could buy a few extra steps if some one lost 1 or 2 difficulty of packing them well I think that would depends on if you would use a fanny pack of a back pack. (I use a back pack)

Not interested in these at all. I don't want to be standing at the base of my tree assembling my steps. They don't look very safe either.
