I wish I was associated with them.. I get to go the ata shows. in todays world their are so many thing made for composite material. car seats ,car ramps, guns ect.
I can't think of a reason to remove them. I wouldn't want to pack in the stick and steps separately and for theft prevention I'd want to remove the stick portion too. The only benefit I see is being able to move the peg to the other side, but LW does that without being removable. I'd like to see a LW like stick that has an option for a step on both sides (maybe one you could buy and replace one of the single steps with) I'd use the double at the bottom of the lowest step and the top of the highest. And assuming the flip up tree bracket is as cool as it looks I'd take that. And they need to pack up nice and tight, and be lite.
you could pack all the steps in on the sticks and take you're 1 st stick out with you with the steps from the 2nd step.
Yeah, maybe. Like I said, I'm not sure about them. Just when I pictured the perfect climbing stick in my head it didn't have removable steps. Not to say they are bad, just not something I'd ask for in a climbing stick. I'd like to actually get my hands on them and get a feel for them. I'd be happy to be pleasantly surprised by them. Maybe you could send me a set to try out
lol i'm not a sale man for them if I was i'd work some thing out with a few guys. there's only one person I know of that's a pro staffer and it's not me. what's you're ideal of a perfect climbing sticks and how would also stop guys from stealing you're sticks and stand?
Dude give it up you are clearly a part of the company. It's fine just admit it. You defend the product hands down and ask what improvements could be made to everyone who criticizes them. It's ok to be affiliated with the company there are a few guys on here that are with a company. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm not lying about being apart of the company. I'm a honest guy!! there just so much misconception about composites. by the way I asked what do you think about those sticks? not improvement they should make
I removed it because I revisited it and found that your were indeed quoting a previous post. It wasn't a fake post. I copied the post to the clip board without any mods. That wasn't clear initially due to AT's piss poor forum package. I will say it appears you have been looking at the for some time. Why haven't you pulled the trigger? Looks like you at on time had some of the same concerns.... What's changed your mind specifically if you haven't used them?
If say you're looking to get more mobile but the pros you're mentioning about these sticks make no sense then with mobility in mind. The removable steps, your biggest pro is to remove them so they're not stolen, my muddy stick I currently have haven't spent a night in the woods. They go in and out with me, that's mobile. These are more for permenant sets to try to reduce theft. Good luck selling these, but for mobility there are much better options available.
I find it strange that you asked us what "we thought" about the stick. When we gave you an answer you didn't like, you felt the need to tell us we were wrong. I simply said I didn't like the idea of the plastic steps. Given the options of choosing between a metal step and a plastic step, my personal opinion is that the metal will be more durable, safer and last longer. Really there's no way to argue in favor of plastic over metal for this application. Sorry if that bothers you, but it is my opinion. How can you have such a strong opinion of a product that you have never used? You are questioning how we can give our "negative" thoughts since we have never used them, all while you have never used them yourself to disprove our opinions. My thoughts are, buy them when they are available. Use them, then come back and post your review for all of us to see.
interesting design but the cost is prohibitive I can think of other things to spend "my" hunting dollars on like 8 sets of these for the cost of two of those I keep an avg of 4 to 8 loc-ons stands out during season..
The thing is you are defending them even getting to point of being a tad annoyed like you own the company.... I really like PSE bows and Martin bows and don't have a stake in either one if some want to dis them I don't take it personal.. when you ask for opinions expect to get them and many you will not like..
as many have stated, would they work yes no doubt, but the price for 4 of them (which I would want) and the plastic steps that are easily removable (thus making it very easy to snap and break too imho) I'd pass, for that price my Muddy sticks and or a set LW sticks are more favorable for me...just my personal opinion though
I've used those types a stick for year in found it to be a pain to move from one the other. I all so used ratchets straps for them.
I just watched it. I still personally have concerns about how a composite material would hold up over time. I'd also like to see someone test the how much side-load the steps could take before they would break at the hanger. I know I personally don't step directly on the top of my steps, I'm usually putting a lot of side force on as I'm climbing. To me, where the step attaches to the bracket looks to be a weak point. If Odin wan't to prove me wrong, they can send me a set and I'll put it through the paces, but I'm not even considering spending my own money on a product that I have major concerns about.
