this is Shocking to me that such a well respected brand would pull their poduct from a vendor just because their product was justly and fairly ranked on the low end. I personally will never buy a Mathews bow, their product just isn't on par with the price. although there is something to say about being an American company these business tactics are slightly immature, Hopefully Mathews starts making products that can compete for the price though
I don't like the outcome so let's pick up our toys and go home. I'm sure the shop will go on fine without them...not to mention the bad press but I'm also sure the bow company will be just fine too. Is the season here yet? :D Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
Mathews shouldnt have acted in this way. I do know that once fieldandstream posted the results of the tested bow they didn't like that the creed finished near the bottom and is also one of the louder and slower bow tested but I do like the creed but may not get one if Mathews doesn't do something about this.
What else do you want Mathews to do? They already handled the situation. Again I have no problem with what they did. I agree with it. You gonna go to a Ford dealer and buy a truck from a Ford salesman who tells you Fords suck go buy a Chevy? Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
I just dont see how they got the creed is one of the loudest bows. when I first went to shoot the creed, the dealer had not even shot it yet, so we went back and shot, the first thing he said was wow that is quiet. Now he is also a bowtech dealer, and he equally pushed both bows. But to me, when I was shooting to see what I wanted to get, the creed was quieter then the experience. So there you have 2 guys with different opinions about the bows in question, has the saying goes, opinions are like *******s, every one has one.
Not to start a bit#%^$& war here again but for any of you that voiced ur opinion of what happened to Hinton's that did not read the article they were involved with here is a link http://www.fieldandstream.com/articles/hunting/2013/08/fs-crowns-best-flagship-compound-bow-2013 I still would stand by any of the bow companies that would pull their dealer status
by the way didn't they do this test during the ATA show that was being held in KY at the time. so they were not picked out of all of the countries shops but out of the local KY shops
Does this suck? Yes. Does it make Mathews look bad. Sure, however, I don't think Mathews had a choice. The shop probably should have thought about this. What did they think was going to happen? I appreciate them being honest and fair and I wish them luck moving forward, but this was very poor move on their part.
Sounds like Mathews are just like allot of their shooters, hate to hear the truth. Mathews would rather their dealers lie to the customer to make a sale. I think Mathews pulling their dealership deal from them is probably the best for the shop. Kinda makes ya wonder how honest the majority of their dealers are?
It sounds like Mathews is like a toddler who doesn't get their way and is taking their toys to go home. I wouldn't cry nor own a Mathews ever. I love my APA. Great Canadian bow.
Teammates on the forums are kind of like family. You don't get to choose who you get. For instance, my older brother is a preacher. That doesn't mean my teammate isn't going to kill a 200" buck and help us win it all!!! :D
I get it.... Mathews sucks, I didn't hear about the other manufactures dropping them as dealers cause they didn't finish first... did you? Why do you think Mathews is always at the top of all the magazine tests/reviews?...... because they buy 6 full page adds in the magazine that's why. If the publisher didn't rate them at the top Mathews would take their money elsewhere, so not one of these reviews in the magazines means diddly squat.
I won't either, brother. Opinions are like.... well, you know. What I can't understand is why some of you can't see this from a pure business perspective. It really doesn't matter, though. It is what it is.
Read the article, is was less about finishing last and more about the owner saying to buy a different bow. No company is gonna stand behind someone who doesnt stand behind them. Opinions being expressed when you walk into a place is one thing when its in a national publication is another.
