this thread (and I think even that exact pic) has been posted before.
It's a papilloma tumor. Caused by the papilloma virus. Like HPV. Supposedly not transmittable to humans and the animal is still supposedly edible, but I would not touch one. It can be transmitted from deer-deer and honestly I would take it out; in extreme cases it can get so bad they blind or even starve the victim animal.

Wart. They are more common than you think. It's perfectly ok to eat that deer

yes, it is contagious. It is exactly like HPV (which causes warts.) Some deer are carriers, but not all exhibit the visible symptoms.
Like I said, in extreme cases it can kill a deer by either blinding it or making it so they can't eat. Rabbits get them too. Seriously, google image search deer papilloma and rabbit papilloma or warts. Just do it on an empty stomach.

It's Fibromatosis. (Although the pic is not great) It's not transmittable to humans, it's not fatal to the animal unless it prevents them from eating, and it's not painful to them. No reason to "off" her unless you just don't want deer with warts.

It's pretty common, it can be transmitted from one deer to another if they rub up against an infected deer. It's ugly, but not a big deal.
