I use a set of cut off horns from a 125" 8point. I think cut off horns have a slightly more realistic sound than sheds due to sheds being dried out....
Ive only used a rattle bag...thinking it sounds good. But my buddy didnt think so.... May try the rack pack this year.
Same for me, except i was in Illinois, kept rattling in a 2 year old 8 ptr, and one time a bigger 130's ran the other way.
I thought you guys knew making a bunch of noise while hunting scares the **** out of the deer. Hell you guys might as well try to whistle at them like you do your dog.
I prefer the real deal. I've tried a bag before and it just never got the job done. This about a 115 inch set that came off of a road kill.
Real match set of 120" sheds. I took a rubber bungy strap removed the metal hooks and drilled screws through the holes into the horns to keep them together. Also in the tree I like to take my rope clip it onto the bungy lower the antlers to the ground and jerk the rope up and down letting the antlers clang together and crash in leaves. Sounds like a real fight.
