Should I start practicing now? The season opens up Saturday... Nah I've got plenty of time still.

Yeah, I've read that in a lot of places but we don't have non ethanol fuel and with a 40 gallon tank it would take me over a year to run it all out the next season. I've got a water/fuel seperator too, so if any condensation happens sitting it's not a big deal. I run as low as I can, treat what's left heavy, and then the following spring I'll put about 10 gallons of fresh in to dilute any fuel that's been sitting. Has worked for me for almost 10 years no and no carb problems (knocking on wood).

I do literally the same thing. The only exception was last year-filled it with 40 gallons of non ethanol premium. Motor ran like crap in the spring! Used my oil extractor to siphon out some gas. Got about 10 gallons before the extractor quit. Replaced the fuel/water separator TWICE! Gave up and decided to just burn it off. Did a 40 mile round trip at nearly WOT to burn it down.

    NEVER AGAIN

Startron fuel additive is your friend if you use ethanol fuel in boat motors, I add it to all my 2 strokes.

Well finally done with the most pressing issues. I still have to bring in the koi, drain the pond and finish cutting up a boat. Headed to the walmart to get my scent control stuff pick up my tags and hunt. Hunting Sunday evening with the goal of shooting a certain doe. I will take a buck if one around 140 shows but I doubt it based on the stand I am sitting in.

Pull out generator, pull out razors, fill feeders, set up camp, really gleaming in the 60 footer. I just love a bit of rain while doing it.
