I am hunting in northwest Ohio. I want to sit in the stand all day but it gets to cold for me(after 5+ hrs). I wear compression base layers out to the stand and then layer up. my boots are 600 gram thinsulate. I was recommended the heater body suit but I will pass on that scheme. I am thinking more wool maybe... any ideas?
If i can keep my feet warm, i can usually make it all day..i use alot of the throw away heat pks Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
late season in WI with temps in the teens = i wear 3 layers of pants/shirts, 2 gloves, face mask and beanie, and 2000gr cabela inferno boots....i do have heat packs i bring just in case and tissue for that running nose, lol....if you don't want to layer up, heater body suit is really good...
tissue is always good when its cold. i was with my buddy last winter in a blind and it was about 20 degrees and we had a hour before sun up so it was nap time i woke up before him to see a foot long snot line coming out of his nose it was hard to try and not to laugh i was trying to be quiet.
I forgot to mention, i do have Artic shield boots and gloves..have to put the boots over your hunting boots before feet get cold, and put heat pack in each glove Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
