My work laptop. I have thought about getting one of those I-phone adaptors but have not pulled the trigger yet.
I check mine with my IPAD Mini that i bought the sd card reader for. I like using it and checking pic when I'm sitting in my stand during evening hunts!!!
I just bought this to try with my Iphone 5S. For $4 figured it is worth a try! 3 in 1 USB Camera Connection Kit SD TF Card Reader for iPad 4 IPHONE5 5S | eBay
Just realized I ordered it from china and is gonna take 3 weeks to get here. Gonna be a whole before I can try it out. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk
I like the laptop method - i hate the idea of mixing cards etc... I would rather get one site done and checked and move on to the next. I try to wait until I've pulled all my camera sites before actually reviewing... "TRY" is the key word.
I swap cards, too. I usually have a digital camera I look briefly through when I get back to the house, then I'll upload to the computer.
I take my laptop with me during the summer, but during season intake my iPad to scan through pics while on stand.
In my opinion I have the best method. I have an iPad. I bought a card reader for it that just plugs into the charging port. I go around to each camera pull the card put it in the reader import the images and then delete them from the card and put it back in. Once I have all the cameras check I sit down and go through all the pictures I imported. I delete ones with nothing and have an album for bucks and an album for the rest of the animals and does. I love the iPad because it's quick easy and you have a big picture you can zoom in on and look through with ease! Best method in my opinion I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Just buy 2 cards for each camera, its less time standing there in the woods and you can check the pictures in AC from your home. Works alot better!
I use my Ipad with a SD adapter from best buy. Takes very little time, and your already there at the camera. I simply download everything on Iphoto which takes seconds and I'm out. I recently put up a DLC covert cellular which gave me fits due to poor cellular reception. DLC was spot on with customer service I mailed in my 2013 model, they sent me a brand new 2014 extreme series which I don't even know if its out yet. To say DLC has kick *** customer service is putting it lightly. I use a 32 gig card in this one so I can see video. On a funny note I got an email from a stranger asking me why all of my personal info was in his camera. He bought a refurb from DLC that was still set up with all my info. I assumed DLC was gonna just slap a widget X in my camera and send it back so I left all my info in it. Lesson learned. Instead a brand new top of the line cellular, way to go DLC.
We use a laptop. Bigger screen so a few of us can huddle around it to view the pics. That's also where we store them so as we view we can save off any good ones and then delete everything else.
I swap cards in the woods but also bring along a digital camera so I can check while I'm in the truck in the fields. I'll "spot check" cards once I get to the truck before I leave the immediate area to make sure I didn't get 500 pics of a pesky branch, or to make sure it's been productive. That way I don't get all the way home and kick myself for not pulling or adjusting the cam. It's also nice to have the camera because I never know what (or who) I'll run across while pulling cards.
I do the same basic thing. I'll either check the pics on my iPad or laptop when I get back to the truck before heading home. Nothing worse than getting home to realize your cards are filling up with photos of grass blowing in the wind.
I retrive/replace all my cards and then take them back home and spend a few hours sorting through them on the iMac A lot of my cams have viewers built in that I can check placement with.
I also just swap the cards quick. If I am on my way to the stand or thinking about moving the camera, I will take along a digital camera to view some pictures.
