My interests right now are Cars, Guns and Hunting. This forum covers 2 of the 3. What does everyone drive? I'm pretty out of the ordinary for a hunter when its comes to cars. I own 2 Mazda Miatas. most people call em chick cars or mid life crisis mobiles... well I'm a 28 male and ride in the passenger seat with me on some back roads and you will be wanting to buy one also I drive the '97 year round. You would be amazed how well a RWD car with snow tires does in the snow. During deer season I take the wifes SUV into the woods, but in turkey season I take my '97 miata. Loved the looks I was getting coming out of the woods in full camo with the top down and bow in the passenger seat :D or the looks I get when i pull up at the range haha My fun car: 2005 Mazdaspeed Miata Turbo'd and pushing about 200whp. Guess I should of said Cars, Guns and Bow Hunting. And I will probably be selling the red one eventually to get a truck. Right now I commute 100miles a day and at 12mpg it would get expensive
Yah, lots of the looks are because I am in a miata. It starts out as Why is this dude pulling up here in this chick car and ends up at how in the heck did he fit all those guns in that trunk. :D
Great track car. I know Miata has a great racing series also. I road raced for years in a BMW and then this Viper GTS but no longer. Here is my street car now.
VERY NICE! I want to get on a track but so far I only have Auto-x experience. I am hoping to get to at least 1 trak day next summer. Closest track is about 3 hrs away. The Spec Miata series is VERY competitive.
drive a honda CRZ hybrid for the commute to work and have a nissan 350Z for my fun car. looking to get me a truck since there is no way a deer will fit in either of them
Find some car clubs. There are many out there that will rent tracks for there members to use for a day or a weekend. It's fantastic and very safe. They have instructors that will show you the racing line, braking points etc. Very cool. Everybody should learn to drive their car on a track. IMO Most fun you can have with your cloths on
I sold my Miata last year after many fun miles on the twisty back roads. Went for the horsepower of a BMW 335i as my daily driver, but still miss the Miata sometimes. My woods vehicle is my trusty '04 GMC Sierra.
'78 CJ7 (black) The other is my dad's '73 CJ5 re rebuilt in 2001. Mine is in pieces right now as I search for a new body....
97 GMC Sierra, torsion bar keys, add-a-leaf in back, 285/75r16s, flowmaster muffler. Shes a gas saver... </sarcasm>
