I am a retired military NCO going to school full time crammed into two days a week. The other 5 are filled with honey-do's and the ignoring of several of those do's.

I am in agricultural & commercial mowing sales and I also own/operate a lawncare business. I do not get a whole lot of time off, I just rack up my vacation time and use it accordingly (mainly bowseason).

I am in the planning department for one of the gold mines in my area. I'm the "junior" planner, but that may change, as in the planner above me is leaving the company. I'm 4-10's with two weeks vacation. I still have a year before it goes up to three weeks.

I wonder if Wreckless gets to take some of his work home now and then.

I'm a Ph.D. candidate in biology, concentrating my research in neuroembryology.

My husband, who has posted here only two or three times, is a lawyer and a Bud drinker.

I just started my new job today. I'm working for the third largest biotech company in the world and I'll be speaking with people recently diagnosed with MS about the various medications that the company has available. Starting out I'll get 3 weeks of vacation a year with another week of floating holiday time. I'm pretty excited because it seems like a great company.

I work in manufacturing, more specifically the Fabrication dept. We build commercial dishwashers, and the conveyer systems that are associated with them. If you have ever worked in a facility where mass dishwashing was needed... (School, Prison, Restaurant, etc) You most likely have one of our dishwashers.

My job specifically consists of shearing down bare metal, operating CNC turret punch, and the awesome fulfilling job of deburring... (grinding all the sharp edges off.) But it pays well for what it is, I'm up to 2 weeks vacation, and It's really not that bad of atmosphere at all... very laid back, as long as our work is getting out, we work at a pretty relaxed pace.

Earth moving construction business owner/operator and "Agricultural Engineer" (farmer) of 700+ acres, land manager on 2700+ acres managing wildlife with a focus on quail primarily and deer and turkey secondary.

The only time I take off is when it's too hot, too cold or too wet....try not to operate the construction equipment on Sunday but otherwise I work 24/7/365. I can generally "take off work" whenever I want to for hunting seasons, etc but I generally don't and just wait for rain to shut everything down for my breaks.

Like ^^^ I'm a lineman for the power company in Northern IL. I'm a troubleman now and the hours vary from 40/week to 112 hours a week in the summer. Rotating schedule from first shift, second shift and third shift mixed into a 13 week rotation. Never miss a paycheck, which is good, but forced to work to much overtime. 5 weeks vacation now after 15 years.

Im a mechanical engineer for a small engineering firm. We get 2 weeks off a yr (I wish it was way more). We are pretty flexible about getting time off as long as we get our weekly hours in. Im always keeping my eyes open for my dream job which either has lots of vacation time (to use during the fall) or has the fall/winter off.
