Open ended question as long as it pertains to hunting or archery.

I was thinking the exact same thing but let me elaborate on mine a little. Not just time, but time that did not take away from family or my other responsibilities. I am thinking the only way I can get that time is to retire LOL. I don't mind taking time from work for hunting/archery but I always feel like I am cheating my family, animals, home/property, etc.

    Two things.

Time. I wish I had the time to hunt everything on my list.

But mostly I covet my own land. I would love to own about 500 acres to do with what I want.

I covet AM walks to stand (in the darkness). I don't know why, but they're more special than the afternoon walks in. Getting there, silently as possible; getting dressed; climbing to height; knowing I have few restrictions on when to come down........

When I clip my nock on the string and sit down to wait.......I find very few things I covet more than that exact moment in time.

    Great question, Scott.

    Very cool BHF.

Mobow, couldn't agree more. The right land and time are the two things that I covet the most.

Great thread Scott. "Covet" is so much more than wanting or desiring something. It implies extreme priority.

Time. I'm not sure that anything else even comes remotely close.

I can save/budget money & pull off probably anything I want. But I can't create or find more time to go on trips.

Drop Tines!! I would love to kill a buck with double drop tines. I think those are the coolest looking bucks around. And pretty rare too!:)

This picture of my buddy Danny and my girlffriend Jackie was taken this year while we tracked Danny doe. Terrible shot, long tracking job, but it was a blast. Having a good time with friends/family is what its all about.

Bowhuntimgfool amen. my brother cousin and I have hunted once togerther it was a blast i dont think we saw a deer but there was more fun memories in that than most of the other things i have done in life. also hunting with my brother who one time accently hit the release trigger while drawing backon what could have been his first kill and buck. but it sure was funny. and i enjoy those sotries more than my own hunts

The one thing that I (don't nesessarily) "covet" the most ,because I already have it, is the time I get to spend hunting with friends. Strictly bowhunting whitetails can be a solitary game, but there are situations where you can hunt with your friends, and I absolutly love those hunts. They are ALWAYS fun. I can think of plenty of solo hunts that weren't a thrill.

Also, I would just like to have the time and resources to go hunt and the places and animals I would like to take.

I appreciate and covet the freedom that hunting offers. I know this might seem weird, but I actually enjoy feeling like a little tiny dot in the middle of the woods, almost like I am insignificant. To disappear into the beauty of the woods is what I covet.
