Wanted to get a few responces for how everyone describes bucks while talking to others. Ex. You shoot a 3.5 yr old 136 class 10 point do you( when speaking to your friends) call it A 10 point A 3.5 A 136
Either a 3.5 y/o or a 10 pointer. I always say my best guess at age, I occasionally mention the points. I never volunteer score unless asked. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
Pretty hard to score them on the hoof. Some unusual characteristic will usually earn the buck a nickname if he’s a regular. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
It's a 10 pointer from me. Not really big on aging deer or scoring that much. Generally when I speak about deer to other people I will describe a big buck as a big X pointer.
10 point; dont forget the other option, the name, "bucky" or "Tyson" or "Hairy" or "Eastwood" etc. we laugh at those guys
10 point and if it's someone that hunts, the score is usually brought up at some point. I have a buddy that thinks every deer he sees is at least 3.5 so I always shy away from using age because it's ridiculously annoying.
Wait we are talking about a buck on a trail cam? Then I don't use any of those words I never share trail cam pics of a buck before or during hunting season.
I would show them a pic from my phone. Other than that I would call it a 10 pointer. If they ask how big I'd tell them 136".
