My wife is interested in shooting. Not hunting, just shooting. Do I need to get her a youth compound or are there ladies versions out there? she is about 5'5 probably has like a 24" draw or something.

I tell ya what, the Diamond Razor Edge is one sweet bow! Just bought one today for my son! There is a lot of adjustability to this bow and it really zips an arrow!

Look at the Razor Edge by Diamond. It can also be used by your kids as they grow up. One of the most adjustable bows on the market. And reasonably priced too.

See that's the thing though, I don't want to spend a lot of money at all, b/c she will not hunt, she will only shoot. How was that bow BHF?

I believe you can get a Diamond Edge for like 299 with all accs on it. I know some dealers that have some hellish good prices on left over Edge's check em out, they are great bows.

Its the real deal thats for sure, she won't get bored with it! We got the bow package for just under $350 out the door! You can get it cheaper I think $279 for just the bow but then you need to get the fixins'... You could also go the used route!

Genesis makes a decent bow for just what you're looking for. Lower draw weight, under $200... not top of the line, but it would do quite nicely for your wife's target shooting purposes. Got one for mine and my older girls (none of whom want to bow hunt, but like shooting paper), and it's done the job perfectly for them.

I have to agree with everyone else about the RazorEdge. I purchased the Edge for my daughter a few years back and it is great. We tested so many bows and that one clearly was the best option for size, price & quality.
