For hunting I got a pair of gloves and a $100.00 gift card. But I made this for my dad. Well, I really made it for anyone who helps gut, skin and process deer in the barn. I won't go into detail about our process (I'm sure you all clean and process your deer a little differently) but this will come in very handy during the first few steps of processing our deer; especially during firearms season when the gang usually gets 3-6 in one weekend. It's a two ended chopping block on wheels with a cutting board in the middle that can double as a bench. It's got a magnetic knife holder and a tool/knife tray. The barn has a gravel floor so the 10" wheels will help with mobility. Dad seems to like it. We're all getting old, anything we can do to make cleaning the kill easier, is worth the effort.
The Mrs got me a Volt electric vest. Thought about using it today but just couldn’t bring myself to go out today at -2 with 10mph winds.
I got Minus33 expedition weight base layer bottoms, a HSS harness and 9 lifelines to go with it. I only asked for one piece of the Minus33 to make sure I liked the feel of it. I do so I will be ordering a top as well before next season rolls around.
