When my wife asks what I want for Christmas, I just look at her and smile and tell her "the usual" will be fine again.

The usual covers Christmas, Father's Day and my Birthday presents and that is

her support for me being able to be gone hunting for much/no MOST of the fall!!!!

Farm Sim 19? No I've not. I think the last one of those I bought was FS15. I always end up using the other income stuff to break the game, lol. It's just like farming, I can't seem to make any real money without other income rofl.
The last one I ended up saving up until I got enough to buy a windmill then I just let the game run continuously while I was at work all day. Then I bought another one and spammed it. I owned everything in the game before long then it was broken and boring. I'm not sure if farming would get boring if I ever won the lottery....I'd probably just farm until it was all gone.

Haha did the same thing here. It looks like on 19 you can actually build a farm from scratch so that part looked awesome to me.

    Wouldn't take long farming!

I'm checking it out now. There's quite a few poor reviews on it on Amazon. Several people said it wasn't worth upgrading from FS17. I missed out on FS17 so maybe I'll just get it, it's cheaper. lol

I’ve alway wondered what real farmers thought about a farming video game, I guess I know now lol!

A couple people I know had a lot of problems with glitches but seemed to have that fixed from what I hear. My wife thinks i'm crazy to farm all year and then play that some during the winter months too.

I have loved the earlier iterations, they just get boring rather quickly. There's really not much impact on the farm from weather, bugs, etc etc so they aren't all that realistic in a lot of ways. They just give you the grind experience of grinding out production and harvest cycles with little to no real planning and stuff that keeps real farming interesting. Also the earlier ones couldn't get away from the weird freaking metric measurements....WhoTF measures grain production in liters?! Annoying.

I'm watching some vids on FS19 now on YT, they have ridable horse ranching now...I may be in on this after all.

I'd like to see Rockstar use their RDR2 engine to base a farming sim on, that'd be sick. Their animals and animal AI is the best I've seen so far. They could do a game purely on equine production/racing/etc... and I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Yeah I've had this same thought as well but the game is cheaper than the real thing and I can get a sense of farming success much easier with the game. It feeds my generational need for instant gratification better than the real thing, lol.

For 17 they have a seasons mod that has some weather effect and only allows you to plant certain crops at certain times. (Different season or soil temp effects the crops). Theres also a mod called soil management that makes you spray for weeds and fertilize to get best yield. You haveta download either off a mod website and put them into game but it's pretty easy and lots of YouTube vids showing how. If you look up soilMod or seasons for the games you can get a pretty good idea of them. Don't think there's a season mod for 15 tho.

I've got 15 and 17 and mess around every once on while. But like you get bored with them after while ha. Don't have 19 tho so don't know what its like.

Got myself the Tethrd Mantis Treesaddle setup and lone wolf sticks, still waiting on the saddle to arrive. Wife and I do not get each other stuff, we get enough crap through the year. We also had our sons 3rd birthday and 6 family Christmases to attend, 4 of which I cooked some type of venison meal.
No in-law drama and spent the time with see folks I rarely see, not a bad way to spend the holidays.

Well it looks like there's definitely weed and weed control in FS19. You can turn that feature on and off as it pleases you as well.

Yea saw that they added it. Not sure exactly how it all work. Know for 17 they added where you haveta eventually plow fields too. Be interesting to see if its like what people had came up with in the other games. Never did get too crazy with all the modded stuff people came out with but its kinda crazy the addons people came do with games. For the most part its all pretty easy to install in game if you know how to copy and paste files. I even went so far as to download the program to customize maps and its really not that hard to do basic stuff like add buildings and new fields. Youtube is great if you know what to look for ha.

I told my wife I wanted her to buy the family a membership to the local ymca... for my gift this holiday season. We are getting our butt kicked paying double mortgages so I said screw it...I dont want a darn thing unless it involved them. They all went the other night and my son actually worked out after having been so sick for so long. I was very happy.

As for your gift Sota...aint no price tag you can put on something like that..priceless.
