I still have an iPhone 4. It still does what I need it to do. Well, I still can't post pics from the stand, but I really don't need to do that anyway.
Instead of taking ownership of the root problem, I'll instead use this platform to discuss a much more important issue... Why don't Otterboxes or similar cases have retractable tethers built in by now? It's 2014, and I'm still drunk dialing like a caveman.
I have a Motorola DROID MAXX | Verizon Wireless. This is my second Maxx I have owned and I really like it. The battery life is great and the phone still feels like a phone and not a tablet in my pocket. I am pretty good about not trashing my phone so I can usually make it the two year contract before I need a new phone. I love the android operating system.
I have the iphone 6. Love the new apple pay feature. It will be really nice when more vendors support it.
The company I work for pays for all cell phones and coverage. I'm still on the 4s but can't complain with no bill. If I had my choice I'd get the Note 4. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have the motorola Razr Max. Battery life (used to be) incredible. Still pretty darn good but not like it was 2 years ago. Not real crazy about the camera. Pretty low quality. But.. it does what I need it to. I'm due for an upgrade as of last week.
I have a Samsung galaxy s5. The 'waterproof' battery door is lame and fell off when it was two months old. It also is weird about typing/texting. It auto corrects in the most bizarre way and I can't figure out how to make it stop. My s3 was not so annoying. Otherwise it's a good phone. I have it in an Otterbein <--- see? That's it's auto correct. Anyhow, I have it in an otterbox with a tempered glass protector. I've manged to break the otterbox and the screen protector but the phone is fine. (Other than the battery cover thing which i could tell was doomed from the start)
I have a galaxy S4 and have been extremely pleased. I wish it was the active version. The phone does well more than I ever use it for. Not being active I do go through them. I recently got a break up letter from my insurance company... then went under water with it in my pocket. Luckily I got it apart and dried out in time and haven't had any related issues.
You might want to try a different keyboard. I use SwiftKey and the prediction capabilities are amazing! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
Have a s5 in a otterbox case. Pretty hard on phones do usually need a good case and have had good luck with these so far. It survived falling out of a tree stand and getting dropped into some setup concrete forms, don't leave it in tool belt while climbing over wall.
jrk, is the battery cover still attached to yours? I downloaded the Swiftkey. I like it better already. Thanks! I have to learn the new layout but at least it predicts plausible words and so far it hasn't changed a correct word into some imaginary word. What my phone did with the other keyboard was bizarre.
Yea as far as I know it stays on, but mine pretty much lives in the case though. Just to add the one thing I hate about the phone is the cover over where you plug in the charger. Man that thing is a pain to open sometimes. Not a big fan of the charging cable either, it's charges pretty fast but even after having this phone for a while it's still a pain to plug in. Christine just realized you may be talking about the same cover I mentioned above, so to add to that it's still there but it's starting to only hang on by a thread ha. So I can imagine it won't last too much longer
That's what I meant, the charging port cover. Not the battery cover (brain cramp) That's what fell off of mine. Didn't break, just fell off. I do like the fast charge feature but you're right, you'll never plug it unless you're focused. On the upside, it stays plugged in good. :D
I still have the iPhone 4S. I'm extremely hard on phones since I work construction and dabble in cattle and haying, so it stays in the truck most of the time while working. Plus, it's nice not to have to talk to people
^having your cell phone doesn't mean you have to 'talk' to anyone. The more popular cell phones became, the less actual talking got done.
