Honestly I bet it was probably just about 30 minutes of actual work but as you can tell the loggers had left a gapping hole along our Northern hinge cut (for a border/wall) line.....we just couldn't have that so:

Hinging and a little elbow grease later that hole is now a wall....we even raked clean the ground then there to encourage bedding potential and to cameras slight right made a couple individual individual deer beds.

Get out there boys now is the time to get it done!

This opening was along our very Northern edge/line. We've had major issues with the neighbor that way shooting onto our place and such so bout 3 or 4 years ago qe hinged the entire border into a fence type structure. They will bed along it but rarely wiggle through it which is what we want.

The loggers however took a tree or two in this spot and we needed to reblock. We did create some beds within the egmdge but that blockade was main use of the hinging.

So you've created a bedding area on the property line? Doesn't this give the neighbor the same opportunity to draw them to their side? I prefer to keep influenced deer activity as central as possible on our properties!

When you have a limited amount of acreage sometimes the best place for doe families to bed is right along the line...there is no way the neighbor gets into his stand without busting them if they bed there....that is a bonus of the location, with the primary reason we did what we did to eliminate North/South travel.

If a doe group or buck beds here the neighbors line hugging stand doesn't scare me at all...if anything them coming in will show the deer that spot is an awesome bedding spot. They have tons of cover yet are notified of approaching dangers and will escape with their lives.

We deal with small acreage set ups Tacks and don't have the luxury of basically not using every inch for use.
