Keep It Simple Silly! IMO - Go with a fixed blade because they work every time.

My choice would be a Muzzy 3 blade. You should be able to find them for around $30 for 6. And best of all they're available almost everywhere Bowhunting equipment is sold.

i shot muzzy's for 7 years and had great luck with them... I shot muzzy 3-blade 125 grain... i just recently switched to rages 2-blade 100grain... they are have huge entry and exit holes... but starting out if you dont want to pay alot... i would go with muzzy's

I use Rocky Mountain Snypers and Rage 2 Blade.

They both work extremely well and have never failed me.

Cut on contact heads are great, but, technology has surpassed them. If you have a bow & arrow set up capable of exerting the proper force to effectively utilize a mechanical- you'd be stupid not to....Just my opinion.

Spend the money for the quality- I think the Snypers and the Rage heads do just fine, and, I've shot alot of deer with them(mostly the Rage).

I guess I'm stupid as I use a single bevel 2 edge blade but maybe the technology involved in my compound bow evens things out ;) .

Slick Trick Magnums or Grizz Tricks will meet your price range and they are high quality BH's. And no, you won't be stupid if you use them :D.

I'm going to single bevels this next year (my shooter is a newer compound too).

    I use Magnus Stingers now.
Excellent flight, good penetration (all the way through), lifetime warranty, low cost on E-bay.

I killed my first buck this year with 100 gr. meatseeker. Pass through with good blood trail, and didn't run more than 75 yards away.

Everyone i know who uses the slick tricks love them. The entry and exit holes that I have seen in deer and coyotes are huge.

Any reputable head is going to work on deer as long as they are sharp. Face it, deer just aren't that hard to penetrate.

I agree with this to a degree. The modern compound BOW'S technology HAS surpassed COC heads in many ways. But the average modern compound SHOOTER'S ability to tap into that technology has NOT.
