So I'm new with the compound bow. I use a Mission Craze set at 41 pounds. I use beman jr hunter arrows. I got told to use a two bladed fixed blade broadhead but what specific broadhead should I use?

Something that's a fixed blade cut on contact like a g5 montec. There's lots of great broadheads out there but for your draw weight I would stick with cut on contact heads. If you want a two blade magnus makes some good ones at a good price.

Wasparchery.com has a handy broadhead picker that will ask a few questions about your equipment and then recommend what broadheads from their line up will work best.

There's a lot of good heads so be careful that you don't over complicate the decision for yourself.

Any good quality fixed head will do the job for you.

G5's don't leave a good blood trail at all. Just sayin.

Well if you hit them good you don't have to trail them for long. Just saying.

    41 pounds you say?

    Get the rage mech's:lmao2:

lol.. just joking.. QAD exodus got some very very high marks and great reviews overall..Best part is, I'm not sure they can break? Saw a video of them heads getting drilled into a steel drum repeatedly at like 10 yards away and they kept on ticking! Lots of great heads though out there..

Magnus Stingers will fit the bill.

Youtube has a lot of good broadhead test videos.

I'm not sure how valid a lot of test results are because shooting at steel, plywood, or a tire doesn't necessarily translate to hunting situations but they are entertaining to watch.

I second slick tricks. Great cut on contact head with great blood trails.

    Definitely agree... NO MECHANICALS!!!

I'll vote for the QAD Exodus, or plain jane Muzzy's. I shoot the Muzzy Trocar as well and they are wicked sharp and fly great (haven't killed anything with them yet.

My fiance shoots 41 pounds and shot her first deer with the regular Muzzy 3 blade and the arrow zipped through it like butter and the deer piled up in 50 yards

I'm using slick tricks. My bow is turned down to 55 lb. Haven't shot a deer with my setup but it's been tearing up the coyotes this year.

Agree with most everyone. No mechanical head, use any good quality COC fixed head you should be fine. I use G5 montec and the guy that said they dont give good blood trails is either color blind lol or not making good shots. Shot two deer this year with montecs. Neither deer went more then 40 yards and sprayed blood the whole way. A friend uses the Qad exodus with great results as well. Good luck to you

I'm also a Slick Trick fan, I found them to be very close to my field tips with very little tuning required...but as others have mentioned, any quality fixed blade broadhead will work.

QAD exodus. 2 pass throughs on 4 bucks in 2 years for me with a 40 pound bow. They are short, strong and fly like a field point.

I have always used 40 pounds, and IMO the right broadhead is necessary. I would not recommend any kind of mechanical at 41 pounds. I would definitely look at the exodus, they are deadly.

True. I have killed several does and a bull elk with them. Saw most of them fall. But very little blood was spilled. I have a friend that guides in Illinois and he says they lose more deer to G5's than any other head due to sparse blood.

Any quality fixed blade should do the job.I personally would get slick tricks or maybe NAP hellrazors, just try to keep your shots under 25 or 30 yards and you should be fine.

Don't know how I could leave out my favorite fixed head. I have shot slick tricks and my sister has shot slick tricks and they've flew like field points for both of us with very little adjustments. The most accurate fixed heads I've found so far.

I've used magnus stingers and they seem to break and bend easily. I've now moved to DRT Dirtnap broadheads which I think would be a good choice.
