Well, the other heads that will see action besides my beloved thunderheads are muzzy phantoms & magnus stingers. I've already killed one deer with the stingers, and hopefully I'll get a few more opportunities.

Im going with the NAP BloodRunners this year. They fly at 1" and open to 1.5" that should leave a pretty good blood trail.

Bloodrunners for me to. I love mechanicals so far and have had zero troubles so the blood runners could be the best of both worlds.

I call this my "Death" box  :

As far as deer + soon to be hogs, I definitely am interested in these. . .

I think that the you have to actually shoot something before it can be called the "death box" :busted:

I'd love to try the AK Bowhunting Supply Silver Flame in the 210 grain but I'll need a second job to afford them at $30 each!

Ive used the several broadheads including the Rage 2 blade which I was happy with except on one deer that ran 2 miles before expiring. This year I want to try the 3 blade. A buddy of mine said they are good if you dont want to eat the front quarters cuz they cause "too much damage" if thats possible.

Im interested in the Muzzy phantoms myself...I love the Muzzy Standard 4 blade and Like what I did with Rage, but that phantom seems to be a bruiser of a head..

I've been using G5 Montecs since I got into archery a couple of years. The owner of my pro shop turned me on to them and said they are field-tip like fixed blades that do the job and I haven't been disappointment. I did see a review on here where they're coming out with a newer, supposedly sharper version of the Montecs, I'm definitely excited to check these out because if there is one knock on the montec its that some think they don't get sharp enough.

Maybe not, but it's only gonna come in 100gr's..... http://www.bowhunterssuperstore.com/eastman-outfitters-firstcut-100gr-broadhead-blade-p-9192.htmlEastman FirstCut XT

The Eastman FirstCut XT is the one I'm am "interested" in, but I can't imagine it could fly as well as my ST Mag's do, but I may have to try. Looks like an affordable Silver Flame, and from some of the reports I've heard on them, they shoot like an affordable Silver Flame as well!!

I am going to give the rage 2 blade a try this year. I have always used the muzzy 3 blade, and have liked them, but after losing a couple of deer in the last couple of years, I think I am ready to give something else a try.

I have tried G5 Montecs, did not like outcome. I shot a hog with a 125 Muzzy Phantom, no passthru, but I could have hit offside shoulder. I am 4 for 4 with the Slick Trick 100gr Magnums.

I would probably like to try some Magnus Snuffers once I get my Recurve set up.
