$750 total or for a bare bow?

I would recommend a bow that has:
1 riser, 2 limbs, at least 1 cam, bow string, cable, arrow rest, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Point being, there are lots of good bow manufacturer out there. PSE, Bear, Bowtech, Hoyt, Mathews, Mission, Parker, to name a few...

I would recommend spending some time in your local pro shop. Shoot as many bows as you can!

I love Mathews but I always look to see what each bow manufacturer has to offer each year as a competing market is good for the consumer!

What he said. No one person on her can tell you what bow to buy. Some may say you should buy this one or that one but, truth be told, its you that shoots it and you need to be the one to choose. I'd say for that price bare bow or loaded you will be able to find one that makes you happy.

I would get the one You shoot the best, go shoot as many as you can, all of the big name manufacturer's as mentioned above make great bows, and you need to find the one that fits you.

just one side note beware of the pro shop guys that only want to shove one manufacturer down your throat i would go to a shop that carries a wide variety that you can shoot.

I have owned Hoyt bows and Mathews bows all of my life, but I have shot and tried out most of them. Like the others have said previously, each bow has its own specific feel. Cant stress enough for people to go out to different pro shops and test a few in your price range. Many manufactures like Mathews have a sister company (Mission) who offer people a great affordable bow. Good Luck in your search!

Once again... I also agree with what everyone else has stated. Each BIG bow company has a sister company that have great bows. For your price range you might want to look at a "Package Bow". These come with everything you need to get started with a Great Quality Bow. Most of the 2011 Package Bows shot over 230-240 feet per second and then some shot over 280 feet per second. The quality is just as good as their top of the line bows, they just dont have the Uber-Spiffy Add-On Stuff.
