My bow is starting to get really noisey and it's always been heavy. I've decided to pry the wallet out of my pocket and get a new one. I need a bow w/30" draw and no more than 50#. What do you think I should purchase and why?
A little more info would be helpful. Do you have a preferred axle to axle length? Is speed/smooth most important to you? A budget you want to spend?
What was/are you shooting? might be a reason its getting noisy, could be something simple as a loose module screw!!
I just ordered a Maxxis...that thing draws super smooth and holds all day...it makes a very good hunting rig.
Well, I went out today and took the dive. I was shooting a bow that was made by Bear for Scheels. Heavy, noisey, and not very good let off. I went to scheels first and they had 3 LH bows. All 3 of them were Mathews 70# 26 - 28" draw. I explained that due to shoulder injury I need no more than 50# and I have 29" draw. They said if I wanted to buy a Matthews bow, they would send off for different cams and I could pick up my bow in 2 weeks or so. I informed them I wasn't going to buy something I had not shot. I left there and went to Bass Pro Shops. They had ZERO left hand bows and told me that there aren't that many left handed shooters around for them to stock them. They could get one in from another store if I wanted to buy it. I didn't even respond to them and left. Then I went to the archery shop in the area. I shot a Hoyt Maxxis, Bowtech Admiral FLX, a Bear Charge, and a Mathews Hyperlite. I was pleased w/most and then I shot the bow I bought. I had them put on the accesories and am quite pleased w/the results.
