Does anyone know what this is, and where I can find more information on it?

    That's a Liberty bow.

(personally, if you're looking for a very short axle to axle bow, I'd recommend a TNT bow)

    Thanks

To be honest, I've never seen a bow like that before, we don't have anything like that in the U.K. but they look interesting, and I would like to find out more about them.

I've talked to a couple guys who had an opportunity to shoot them and didn't have very good reviews. They said overall they look CHEAP, and feel CHEAP, the only rest and sight you can use are the ones especially made by the Liberty Bow Company, as a normal rest and sight won't mount up.

I think something with that short of an axle length would also be bordering on DANGEROUS looking at where the limbs pivot. But that's just my opinion....

I've heard less than glowing reviews of the Liberty as well.

On the other hand, I bought a TNT and have to say, it's a great little bow. It's not a speed bow by any means, but it's not squirrely at all and it's nice smooth drawing bow. 22" axle to axle. I shoot it fingers for bowfishing but use a release for regular shooting.

The limb bolts are long enough that you don't need a press to change strings or whatever.

If you want a mainstream, speedy bow... get a Mathews. If you have a need for a very compact bow, this is one to look at.
