Hi everyone. I am looking to get a new bow. I am going to have about $400. I am only 13 so I can't fork out a lot of money. There are so many brands and I can't decide on a bow. Anyone have any preferences. I pull 45 right now and can adjust to 50 if needed so don't let that stop you from recommending a regular bow. I have looked at alot of bows that go from like 15-70 but they lose speed in doing that. That you for all of the help.

With a 400 or so cap i would look for a 2014 Elite E32 or Elite Spirit, you can get either with 40 pound limbs.

Day after Christmas go to Cabelas or Bass pro, shoot a couple and see what you like. Do not get caught up on brand names buy the one that is the most comfortable to you.

    PSE Stinger X 60# bow..

You can back out the limbs under 50 to 46-47lb range.

Best bow for the buck 400 and under..

Go too any sporting goods shop that deals with bows. Don't let them talk you into a new one, the 2016 models are hitting the racks, so that's making some of the previous years bows, pretty cheap. I just picked up a 2015 Mathews Nocam HTR Tactical Black, for $799.00. Shoot a few and see which one you feel most comfortable.. Remember..more money doesn't always mean it's better..

Find a Bass Pro Shops close to you, it will be worth the drive. They have a massive bow clearance event going on right now. There's several 600-800 bows for $400 or under right now.

Otherwise, check out the used market. ArcheryTalk is a great place for the classifieds (and only the classifieds, lol)

A Mathews Chill SDX would be a perfect bow for you if you could find one in that price range. I doubt you will though. I would also check out the Mission line, they're excellent bows at an even better price.
