I'm in my early 60's 6'1", 200, in excellent shape. I used to shoot bows when I was young and I want to get back into it. I'm wondering what compound bow or bow package you guys would recommend. I want to do some informal target shooting but also because I live on 100 acres and I am surrounded by 10's of thousands of acres of wheat / forest land with millions of whitetail and mule deer I would like something I can also use to hunt with.

Pretty much what Slugger said. Go to an archery shop in your area where you can shoot various bows to find what you like. You can find people that are fans of any brand for all kinds of reasons but the only one who can figure out what you like is you.
