IMHO, much better than the movie. As a Nam Vet, this was a very difficult read - I could only do small bits at a time. The paperback is well bound, and survived three hard throws across the room.
Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson. Pretty decent read. Fairly interesting kinda dragged a little at the end. Not sure if I want to buy more Tesla stock or sell what I have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was too busy to do much reading during the fall, but I've read the first two books in the Caleb Lambert series by Jeff Menapace, of which there are three. I plan on finishing the third before I dive back into another run of 75 Hard and switch to non-fiction for a few months. They aren't my favorites, but they're decent. I prefer both Jack Carr and Mark Greaney's works to Menapace. First on my upcoming non-fiction reading list is The Comfort Crisis by Michael Easter.
Comfort Crisis is a great book. Fair warning, after reading, you may find yourself mildly despising anyone who appears to pursue comfort in life above all things.
You will own nothing by Carol Roth. Pretty good read. It might help you prepare for what’s to come. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Digging out a book that was in a box since I moved 4 plus years ago. Gun Dog a book about training a bird dog.
Wolters, a classic. I started out on Dobb’s aka the tritronics book. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have Water Dog, I bought it years ago with intentions of training our GSP, then we had our first kid and I did not have time to finish the training.
I listened to Empire of the summer moon by S. C. Gwynne. It was really interesting. I learned a great deal and was entertained in the process. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Think again by Adam Grant. Decent book on rethinking. Listened to “the history of China in fifty events” by Henry Freeman. Very short a few interesting nuggets sprinkled in there. Struggling to find something interesting. I’ve had decent luck just picking something random and going with it but it’s not my preference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Haven’t been able to find anything super interesting lately. Been reading some shorter e books. Charles Lindbergh by Charles rivers editors. Short e book, was interesting. Do the Work by Steven Pressfield Ok Alexander the Great the Macedonian who conquered the world. Also Ok The History of China in 50 events by Henry Freeman. quick overview interesting The Ministry of Ungentlemanly warfare by Damien Lewis. Maybe I expected to much, it was just OK. I was scrolling through some of the new releases last night, everything seemed politically charged in one way or another. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm currently re-reading Frank Herbert's classic, Dune. I first read this book in 7th or 8th grade and was a bit too young, and my vocabulary was not quite robust enough to fully appreciate it. I remember thinking then that I wasn't sure why everyone loved this book as I never really got into it. I'm glad I decided to revisit this one.
