I started practicing at a different hospital in January that now requires a 25 minute commute. Since then I have started listening to audiobooks. It’s no substitute for actually reading but it has allowed me to get into more books. That’s a win! I still read all the time but having the ability to get into another book or subject while I’m driving is fantastic. I’m not really into podcasts so for me it has been great use of my time and super enjoyable. Nobody cares go for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Gnar Country by Steven Kotler. I have also read the art of Impossible and the rise of Superman. He has written about peak performance and flow. This book was interesting as it focused on athletes that are past their prime. Pretty good read especially for people who use their age as excuse not to do awesome stuff. I went with the audiobook for this one. I didn’t even make it to the start of the work week. Enjoyed it, thanks again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Turn the Ship Around! L. David Marquet Leadership book by category which isn't a negative however it's a tying read for a guy looking to learn something.
I thought about buying an old copy of the book The Joy of Sex, it was from the 70's. My wife sometimes reads in bed I will wip out that book and read while she does. Been a while since I messed with her. changing the clocks on the oven and the microwave is getting old, as is letting all the air out of her side of the bed, so she thinks there is a leak on her side of the bed, she says we need a new bed and I quit for a few days.
Listened to Alex Kershaws “The first wave”. Great book about D-Day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Any of John Eberharts books.. **casually waiting to get kicked out of the thread** I even wear my scent lok while I read them in my scent free van of death
Currently reading Life of Pi while on vacation. Halfway through, it is one of the more original and interesting fictional stories I have read recently.
Down in the bootheel where we count slick heads as P&Y. Do most of my hunting in Cape Girardeau, Pemiscott & New Madrid county
was in a (virtual) happy hour type work meeting yesterday the topic of books got brought up, so I looked at my bookshelf and noticed I actually still have some I haven't started yet. The Potter's Promise, a biblical defense of traditional soteriology by Leighton Flowers and I haven't finished A Reasonable Response by William Lane Craig. This book is in pretty rough shape after getting flown around the county and getting shoved in and out of a backpack several times. I like Leighton Flowers, the last book of his I read was a little repetitive but was really good. - God's Provision for All , a defense of God's goodness
I don’t have much fiction under my belt but that was a good one for sure. I’m in a rut and can’t seem to find anything interesting. I go back to work on Monday so I need to at least find an audio book for the drive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
