Yep, many years ago Rayovacs were useless. They've come a long way and are just as good as the much more expensive brands.
I deffinently use the dollar general brand, can put 8 double a's in my camera for 3 dollars, and they last at least 75 percent or more as long as duracells.
I have some of those lithium battery's and they don't work with some things but I was going to buy them for my trail cams in the future. Rechargeable are good but your always changing them out.
I always use Duracell copper tops. I have 8 AA's in a Covert MP6 that has been out since August. It has taken over 13,000 pics and is still going strong.
I run rayovac in my dlc cams and they lasted from July- jan and still had life left ....maybe this topic should be what battery's to use in a battery eating cam.
I've been using Rayovacs as well and for the money, I don't think you can beat them. I can get a 48 pack at Home Depot for $15. Assuming my camera runs 8 batteries at a time, I can get 6 full sets of batteries for that $15. In most of my cameras, that's well over a year and possible 2+ years. One set of Lithium batteries for that same camera (8 batteries) is going to cost that same $15 and in total probably not give me as much battery life as 6 sets of standard alkalines.
