I hear of all these attractants/minerals etc, cmeredeer/deercocaine. Do they actually work? how many of you use them? If so how do you use them? I've seen some you put on stumps, spray on trees, pour on the ground. What have found that works the best?

I use Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries. It contains real bits of panther so you know it's good.

I have used them all Deer Cane,Bio Logic Rock and the Trophy Rock etc. with good results.I think it really depends on the soil types in the area that you hunt and the deers nutritional needs at the time.I put out deer cane on one property that is primarily agriculture and had only 5 does and 1 spike check it out in a months time.I used the same deer cane blocks on a dense wooded property and I had deer all over it in less than 24 hours consitantly.Whether it is because of the minerals that are exposed from the tilled field or the hard leaf covered forest floor not giving up much Im not sure. The Bio Rock is a manufactured rock while the Trophy rock is soley mined in Utah for its high mineral content.Overall I have found that the Trophy Rock is the most consistant year round area to area.

I agree with the others. I put out 2 Trophy Rocks this year and I am really pleased with how they worked out. The deer love them.

All I use in my woods, are minnerals that we mix ourselves...or "Oh Deer".

    http://www.buckisland.net/Products.html

Where we have the "Oh deer" mix there is a 4 foot wide by almost 2 ft deep HOLE, where they have been pawing. I can't wait to check THAT cam

Trophy Rock I would assume is a grey area in the regs. It is illegal to put out mineral supplements in Il and Wi, but does it matter that trophy rock is an actual mined rock instead of a manufactured product? I believe these mineral rocks are quarried somewhere in Utah. There's no law says you can't put a rock on the ground on your property. Call it landscaping if you will.

Where I hunt in WI it is a CWD area so I cannot bait there because of the deer congregating on bait spreading disease.

It's been illegal to use any kind of minerals at any time in IL for nearly a decade.
