Bought a bow with a Trophy Ridge Whisker Biscuit on it. I have about $100 to spend on this and other stuff.
    Suggestion for an upgraded rest?

Ripcord hands down. Cheap and reliable.

Maybe just stick with the WB. They are very capable rests for hunting. Spend your money elsewhere.

Hold on to the WB and see if you like it first! Don't jump the gun! What other stuff are you looking at?

Most important accessory on your bow is your rest. Ripcord!

I have a Whisker Biscuit on my bow and it works great. I would spend the money on a sight.

My ripcord was garbage. Would never recommend. The price was great, but that was about it. It wouldn't drop every 4-5 shots and once the weather turned cold it wouldn't drop on any shot. Had it in to two different pro shops and they couldn't figure it out. Don't know if I had a lemon or what, but I won't go cheap on a rest again.

That's very strange. I've had one on each of my bows (2) with thousands of shots and not one issue ever. Temps below 0 and covered in snow and ice, no problems.
Some friends I shoot with have them and they too have never had any problems.

Did you try contacting ripcord? I'm sure they would have made it right no questions asked... actually, they say they will.

No I didn't contact them. I was just so tired of taking it in that I had it taken off and a different rest put on. I've heard good things about it, but even both pro shop owners told me they've sent several back for the same reason. I hope I'm not sounding like I'm completely bashing ripcord, because that's not what I'm trying to do. I just had a bad experience and I'm sure I just had a faulty rest.

Shoot the WB for now. Take a look at QAD for later.

I agree with everyone who says keep the WB. I have it on my bow, and actually upgraded from the Quick Shot to the Kill Shot for a little more adjustment. I don't have any plans to change my rest anytime soon. If I had the extra funds, I'd spend the money on other things, more arrows, tips, a new target.

For hunting, you can't beat the WB. It's not what I'd use if I were target shooting only though.

The only drawback to a WB is that it will wear on your fletchings for your practice arrows.

I upgraded to the Octane Hostage Pro and am very happy. Its essentially a WB without any fletching contact.

No worries, you're not bashing them. No company is perfect and defects happen. It's the customer service that counts and ripcord is top notch. The bolts on my first code red rusted while turkey hunting. I sent them an email and a few days later I got a little bag with a new set of bolts (every bolt on the rest).

Really, most all companies in this industry are that way, except duck commander... eff them (sorry, had to bash).

I won't argue that the whisker biscuit works. Because it does. I just never liked the idea of fletching contact. Just seems like it could only cause problems. But everyone loves them. That says something. I use the nap apache right now. I love it. Full capture drop away but it does require you to hold a finger down on the arrow. I've been intrigued by the trophy ridge revolution. Looks like a cool rest.

My next rest will be some sort of limb driven rest. Just haven't fiqured out which one yet.
