I'd like to take a P&Y buck but meat for the freezer is just fine with me.....anything else is just a bonus!

I'd like to take a nice buck, maybe 130 or above.
At least 2 doe, would be nice.
At the very least, I'd like to have more and closer encounters/shot ops. as confirmation that I am learning and progressing at this thing I love to do

I want at least one 3 1/2+ year old P&Y buck and some doe's for a total of 200lbs of boneless meat in the freezer. More importantly I want to thoroughly enjoy my season. Especially when I go down to Kentucky where I would like to take my first out of state buck with a great friend of mine.

Oh... and I would like for Lifesadrag to change his avitar before season.:d That scares me.[IMG]

If all the planets align, I'd like for my deer season to pan out this way.

Kill 3 Sitka Blacktail Bucks in Alaska in August.
Kill a better buck than last years here at home in KY, ON FILM.
Kill a Coues Whitetail Buck in Arizona in January.

For the first goal, I am conditioning for the extreme hiking and scenarios we will be faced with.
For the second goal, I am not doing anything. I will begin running cameras in July, and glassing a new farm in August.
For the third goal, I am just trying to find a way to save up the money to go. It will be a stretch, but I might be able to make it

So, is 5 bucks to much to ask for? :d

Well Mike I want to take the biggest buck on that property we scouted. Then I want to take a Pope & Young on my property. I haven't taken 2 bucks in 1 year in a long time.

Also I want my wife to get her first buck. Hopefully opening weekend so I can focus on my deer.

I'd like to shoot 3 deer, with at least one being a 100"+ buck. In a perfect world, I'd like to take 2x bucks, one in NY and one in PA.

After this season, I see my hunting time getting limited, and I see myself spending more time hunting closer to home. I hope to find and explore a property with potential to produce these types of bucks within a half hour of my house.

I'm going all out this season. I am looking for a BOONER (they are behind every tree in IL right?). I had trail cam pics of one that was real close last year and a few others that could have made the jump this season. I know of only one of the big boys I had on cam that got killed in the neighborhood. So I have a decent chance of accomplishing my goal. I would also like to kill at least 4 or 5 does, there are a lot of deer in my neighborhood.

It would also be neat to have a friend kill a nice buck on the property. Be cool to experience that with them.

What am I doing to make it happen?
I have planted 5 acres of food plots. Strategically arranged to hopefully control deer movement. I have cut down trees along my food plots and pushed them into the woods to funnel the deer into the plots. I planted 5 acres of NWSG for a bedding area to keep the deer on my property.

Did a lot of walking after the season to better understand how the deer use my property.

Dug a couple of water holes for when my creek goes dry.

I now have a trailer to stay in on my property. Saves me the trouble of have to make the 40 mile drive back and forth each day I hunt there. I walk out the door and I am hunting.

I want to take a good Indiana and Ohio buck this year as well as 2 does. That's pretty much it for whitetail season as far as results go. It would really be cool to take on in the snow. I have never done that before and it just seems like it would be neat. Although, I wouldn't mind the early season when it is warm and comfy either.

    Good question Mike.

To be honest I have no Idea what to expect this upcoming deer season. I'm hoping that one of the 8 points I saw on camera last year made It through the winter fine and hopefully makes It through the summer fine without getting clipped on the highway (all to common around here). If he made It he should be In that 150 to 160 Inch range this year. I'd love to shoot him. He will most likely be an 8 point, don't think he'll ever be a 10. I also hope the Mn DNR pulls their head out of their ass's and gives out some extra doe only tags this year. The doe's need some thinning out and I'd love to build that freezer up with a couple deer. Were usually just a one tag area around here.

This Year, I'm finally gonna take a couple doe. There I said it publicly..now I have to own up to it !

My Goal is a P&Y Buck, in Ohio and if time permits a Decent PA Buck. ( I'd estimate that statement to mean 110 and up).

If I can find any evidence that the buck I saw last year 2 days after tagging the one I shot, is still alive. I may hunt exclusively for him.
Last year he was a 10 point with a drop tine that would have went 150 ish. I've searched and searched for his sheds with no luck.

I hope to hunt more, with good land and deer to hunt I feel like this is my missing ingredient so to speak. My father, brother, and I are bowhunting for 4 days in a row and then a couple of other bowhunts. I want to see them score on a couple of decent bucks and maybe some other deer as well. For me personally I would like to get a good buck with my bow (135-140ish) and I think that is an attainable goal. I would like to get a good buck with my blackpowder also. I think the does will be there for the taking with most any weapon but I sure would love to stick one with my recurve. Have 2 or three other buddies I want to see score and if I can help them with that in any way I will. Hope we all have a safe fun season with lots of of great hunting tales to carry with us after. Good Lord willing, we'll see in a few months!

The water holes were a great idea, many overlook the need for a safe watering hole when setting up their property.

I wish my family good health...

And the big buck that walks in front of me to have a quick death!

This buck will be at least 3 1/2 years or older or sport a rack over +110'ish inches, preferably over +125".
Either with firearm and/or archery, also throw in a Doe for my antlerless tag.
And if I am so lucky to fill all 4 of my available tags, my friends won't be able to stand me very long...
    OR
I'll start charging them to hunt with me..

I really "want" to kill at least 2 big mature bucks this coming whitetail season.
