Lately I've been shooting the impulse purchase. Hi Point 380. Cheap, accurate and fun to shoot. The bonus is, if I run out of ammo, you can beat someone to death with it. I think its made of lead.
I've been looking at possibly buying a stainless steel Ruger Mini-30... figured I could have some fun with the 7.62x39 and my boys could use it as their first Deer gun. I'm going to force myself to pack my 44 Super Red Hawk during archery even though its a little hvy ..due to all the wolves, bears and mt. lions running around. I got a lion on trail cam a few weeks ago. I owe that to my family. There has been lots of problems up here with them lately. It's only a matter of time before I have a run in with a pack of wolves, a hungry lion or a disgruntled sow with cubs. Our firearms predator season's coincide with our archery elk deer and turkey seasons so its perfectly legal to do so, which is nice.
had a few moments at camp to get away and i met Joe Serafini from Top Shot. he helped me with some of my pistol shooting (which was terrible) and i surprised him with my skills on wobble trap and sporting clays. he's a great guy, down to earth and just loves to have fun.
I burnt up a couple hundred rounds thru my 10/22 last weekend. Also shot a friend's Rock River Arms AR-15. Wow, that's a nice gun. It moves up several places in my 'must have guns' list. My other guns have been gathering dust. Hopefully that will change soon as K signed us up for a gun range not terribly far away.
Looking at getting into the pistol world here soon. Never know when i might need to shoot something. Come to think of it...i havnt shot a gun in months. Hell it would be years if it wasnt for turkey season.
Remington 870 Super Mag Express (shot leagues this evening) Sig P220 (Daily carry, frequently practice) Rarely shoot my Armalite AR-7. It needs work and was given to my by my parents (mom worked at Armalite when they started making them). Have, but don't shoot often my Kimber Raptor II. Considering selling it though because I don't shoot it often enough. Sorry, no pics at the moment.
I picked up a Browning Silver Hunter in Walnut with the Silver reciever. Believe it or not I don't have any pics. I picked ducks out of the sky with it all winter last year. I am a much better duck hunter than bow hunter but I plan on changing that ASAP.
Here are a few I really enjoy: Mosin-Nagant Rossi .243 (my sons but I carry it with me a lot, affectionately called the cricket...make no mistake it's a certified deer killer) Mossberg 835 3 1/2" CVA Optima Pro (waiting on it's new scope)
Here's a few pics. I know it's a gun thread, but I posted some bow pics too just for the heck of it. My wife and I doing some target shooting. Her dad bought her an AR15, but he won't let her take it home just yet until she gets good with he says. We've got a few others too: .38 special, .32, Stevens .243, .30-06, .270, couple shotguns, .44 magnum. Nothing special. I'm trying to buy a .300 ultra-mag and .45-70 pistol off one of my buddies, but he hasn't named a price yet. I love bows, but like having guns just to collect and play with. 99.9% of the time I'm hunting it's with a bow.
