Stepping the game up majorly on Monday. Starting back into my 3 times per week run 4-5 miles... Walk hills with the dog on days in between toting a 70 lb pack and doing P90x DVDs daily. Started back on the nothing but meat and veggies clean diet 2 weeks ago, I hope to hit the hills in the best shape I've ever been in this fall cause I know even that wont be enough. lol

We are Officially put in for Elk!
    Praying for a tag.

Workouts and shooting the bow on hold. Threw my back unloading a truck and ... dang! ... taking it slow for a bit.

Was able to get a few sit ups done on the incline bench tonight but am pushing it... no worries though, pain is a teacher.
Extreme Bulls 5 DVD here I come.... Ugggg....Ouch!

Hitting the incline sit up bench today nice and slow. Going to shoot some this afternoon and stretch out.

Prayer works, I thought I busted something in my back the other day offloading a truck. Stopped in my tracks for a while. Well, with some rest, stretching, and a few sit ups on the incline bench things are way, way better.
Got some arrows shot today, and am looking over the areas we put in for Elk in the event a tag comes through. Went through my bow and tightened up everything top to bottom. Keeping it low key for a bit and will ramp it up as things progress.

Sounds like you are hard at it. I've been working out daily still and just going over maps and calling the local biologists out there trying to peg down my units/exact basins to hit up first.

Still several months out but the time to prepare is now, not August.

What are they going to do for it? I had my knee scoped in June for the same thing. Doing much better but still going to therapy twice a week.

Better now than later, get it looked at and give yourself the time to get strength built up before the fall.

I bought my 2014 Utah hunting and fishing license. Resident license now. :)
I also applied for 15 different tags through the western hunting expo. Mule deer, elk, bison, pronghorn and moose. I have almost no chance of drawing any tags.... but I want to try. :)

I'll be putting in for regular drawings later this week.

Couldn't tell you. Doctors appointment next Monday. I can't hardly go a day without the knee being in some pain right now.

Good luck. I had mine scoped and was off my feet completely for about a week and a half. I was able to limp and hobble by the middle of the second week when I started therapy which I am still doing today. I was out of work for 6 weeks though which sucked.

Shot my first ever 3D shoot at the ISE Sportsmans Expo. They take 32 after the qualifier rounds. I was 6th when I had to leave and doubt I will make the cut but you never know. Unfortunately I have to work even if I was to qualify and there is no way around it...uggg. It was pretty cool overall, got a free humpfries t-shirt but it has Hoyt all over it...ah well. The targets popped up and there was a bear that ran down a track...So Cool!!! I think I may join a 3D shoot team or whatever they have... really fun stuff.
    Otherwise
Shooting.. picked up a dozen Axis 340s
Working..not as fun but keeps the engine running...

Edit update: got bumped out today to 33rd spot. Ah well.. it was a pretty cool..
