    shooting, shooting, shooting.
Also burned off some of the CRP fields with my dad a couple weeks ago. They're already greening up nicely. Also did some shed hunting on newly acquired permission to hunt land. lots of sign. no sheds. but still feeling great about the area.
Also going to be planting some fall food plots that are made for the northern part of the state. Just need to get one of those early frosts to get things really in gear.

Wearing out a whole lot of boot leather scouting/shed hunting right now. Found some real decent bones this spring thus far almost all public lands. Getting into new public country that I have always wanted to research. I put in all my plots but they are geared more for elk hunting than deer. I have a lot of stands to re-position but won't make to many moves until after glassing well into late summer. Have my scouting cameras ready to go, I will start putting those out in about 1.5 months.

Food plots and treestand scouting. Yesterday I got powder white doing a little late liming. Fun stuff. Really had to remind myself why I love this stuff. Glad to be done with that stuff.

Let's see yesterday for example, Shot some arrows. Then headed to 1 property and Freshend a Mineral Site. I then cut a "buck" trail through some thick underbrush on the East side of a bedding area. This farm is kinda slow day-to-day in season, but once time changes and bucks are cruising it's a place I've seen 2 Genuine whoopers and more than my share of contenders.

I cut a trail to near one ladder stand (Which I moved the prior week)for the wind from the West / Northwest It skirts the bedding area. I left it just rough enough that old big daddy long-horns will feel safe!

I have been practicing scent control, I now use antibacterial soap to wash my hands after every time I fillet a fresh batch of bull bluegills.

I am having fun fishing & turkey hunting(well the turkey hunting has actually been terrible).

I'll shoot my bow some, but other wise if I turned bowhunting into year round "work", it would not be any fun for me.

RIGHT NOW is probably the most stagnant time of year for bowhunters.

I haven't done anything in the past month except look over some aerials for new stand locations and shoot my recurve a little. I've been keeping my eyes peeled for sign while out predator hunting recently as well.
