I am currently saving my pennies to get a new string and cables put on this year...its seems pretty expensive but needs to be done though. Anyone have any ideas on how i could cut cost and what the right string i should get? Any input would be helpful.
We started around 9 in the morning, and stopped shooting around 6 that evening. Only took a 30 minute break for lunch. We walked over 4 miles on our 40 yard range.
Bought the new Bowtech Destroyer 350 Bought the Bowtech Diamond (PINK) for the wife Outfitted them both Shoot the Virtual Deer Hunt twice a week for an hour each time Got 6 food plots, seeded, cultipacked, fertalized Got 8 cameras out on the plots Put 2 Wildgame Feeders out by plots And now sitting back and monitering the cameras........................
Absolutely nothing. I'm focusing on other aspects of life so that I can focus on hunting and prep later this summer. Right now I'm trying to get some home projects done so we can try and list the house next year this time, and I'm also getting ready for bass, pike, and striper fishing.
Advanced Hunter Education with bow hunter class currently. Scouting some areas and will be calling friends/family for permission to hunt with them. Other than that, not much time to do what I want as I'm in the middle of finishing up a bunch of projects at work before starting new one in a couple o f weeks. Once that settles down, then I'm going to start shooting and tuning my bow. Need to pick up a stabilizer and a couple of other things so I can silence the bow some. She's a noisy beast!
I'll be honest... I'm doing absolutely nothing except for shooting my new finely tuned machine. In my area, the deer are not where they are going to be come Fall, so it's time to shoot some turkeys and to hook a few fish on the 4 weight!
I'm planning on putting in a couple of food plots in early spring and maybe some cameras. Since I'm done with school this May, I intend on hitting the woods hard this fall. My boy is driving now, so I can meet him at our hunting spot to save time.
I've disced up my plots, will spray within 2 weeks, and plant corn in about a month. That is all I'm doing. will place cameras mid july, and sew some turnips into my corn around august. My life is full bore in every other aspect possible, my hunting time will be limited to a few weekends next fall, so I am certainly not going to pour my everything into prep for it. I am taking it as it comes, and just enjoying life. Now turkey season? I am going out daily trying to pinpoint the roosting sites of toms on every piece of property we have access to.
currently working a bunch so I can afford new hunting toys (optics and bow) for this upcoming season.
Just bumped the Matthews FX up to 60# from 55#. Trying to shoot at least 30 arrows / day when I'm in town. Ready to start the new food plot prep. Neighbor just bought a disc, so no hand roto! Have picked out locations for 2 additional tree stands. Turkey (for me) is first week in May.
