A women with red eyes standing over me when I sleep...then she leaned real close to me and breathed on my neck and I couldn't move. I used to be paralyzed with fear of that recurring dream as a teenager. DANG that red eyed woman!

    Yep, I'll admit it.

I'm scared of bears.....more specifically bears in the dark.

Everyone knows monsters hide in the closet, not under the bed.

BIG spiders...and although they are not really in my area mountain loins some of the public land I hunt is text book habitat for them. Just the fact you could be walking in and have no idea your being stalked / pounced on.

Would that be the same feeling you get when you go down in a dark basement and something could be waiting down there for you ??

Ever had a coon crap on your hang on tree stand??

You climb up in the dark. As you pop your head up over the bottom of the stand... you see poop. It's a real big pile. You figure it is a big coon. I've trapped coon that have gone 30 - 35 lbs here. They get good sized. You are darn happy the coon wasn't there when you popped your head up. Had he been there... you would have been face to face or face to his butt depending on which way he was facing. Either way it wouldn't have been pleasant. Your hair stands up on the back of you neck just thinking about it. You finish climbing and get in the stand You kick the poop off... eeerrrrr... you mush it trying to kick it off the stand. Yep it is definitely fresh !!!! Sure glad that coon wasn't there when you popped your head up. Hair stands up on the back of your neck for the 2nd time.

Ok... you settle in and have 45 minutes to kill until first light. 3 minutes in you start doing the math. Fresh poop + big coon = I wonder were he is. You look up into the tree above you. It is too dark to see anything. The hair on your neck stands up for the 3rd time. Is he up there ?? How bad does he want to come down if he is up there ??

Two minutes later you hear the leaves rustle 15 feet above you. There ain't no wind !!!!

It is going to be a long 40 minutes !!! Do you stay buckled in for safety or unbuckle to bail at a moments notice ?? Or do you just bail ?? :dan:

Bats! Deathly afraid of bats. I'll scream like a little girl and run at the sight of one.

OK Finally one that I can jive with,, I honestly couldnt think of any but this one used to get to me in my OLD house. Half way up the stairs there was a kinda hidden man hole in the wall for acess under the kitchen that had been added on, and was not part of the basement. There were times I had to go in there for repairs to drains and water lines. The problem was, there were some kind of Bones scattered around, animal I think! and I couldnt wait to get out of there. The hole was just big enough to crawl out of and those last moments when I was waist deep were,,,yi yi yi yi CREPY! Just that basement alone was scary and I always had the hair standing up on my arms. The wife's washer and dryer were down there to and she sometimes made me go down there with her as it creeped her out to. The new house im in dosent bother me in the least!

I used to sleep with my arm off the bed every night, it's how I fell asleep as a child. Then one night I had a horrible nightmare that a dark colored german shepard chewed my arm off. Never hung my arm over the bed again.
