I don't like cliff edges, edges of roofs, etc.. Not because I'm afraid of heights but because I always want to jump off. I've been that way ever since I can remember. Being squished, confined or asphyxiated rank right up there. Having a career Chicago Democrat running the country is a worst fear too.
I don't know. I would think it might bring the customers running. What do you think, Crick? :D As for my fears, drowning or asphyxiation is definitely up there. Been there, done that. I was once pulled from the water unconscious and resuscitated. (It's a long story.) Once you get to that point you know what drowning is like. It's not something I care to repeat, so now I don't even like being in water when I can't touch bottom.
My biggest fear would be not being able to find my little girl. There's been times where she ran around the house and I realized I didn't see her anymore for just 15-20 seconds.. and that's all it takes for my anxiety to skyrocket. Another obvious one would be drowning. And the odd thing is driving down deep in a large body of water is what creeps me out. But if i'm in a big river with current, I can swim to the bottom and be pretty calm. Not sure what it is about current but the moving water settles my fear of drowning. I've done it time and time again... can't make it more than 5 ft down in a still lake, but can go 7-10 ft down in a muddy river with current for a minute, no problem.
Mice, snakes & heights over 20 ft. A mouse got in my house last winter, I couldn't sleep until I caught him.
I also can't hang any part of my body off the bed at night because I still fear the monster under my bed.
Mine is drowning for sure. Also, sliding down the tin roof of a 3 story house, and finally getting traction 18" from the edge. That was scary as hell
Spiders...and most bugs in general. Walking into a bear in the dark going into my stand...ask Ben how much fun that is.
Spiders....I hate those creepy crawlers and uncontrollably squeam like a little girl whenver I come in contact with them. I especially hate the ones who make their webs at head height in the woods. Just the perfect height to wrap around your face as your walking along. I then proceed to do a little dance when this happens. I also have a fear of drowning...been there before. I can swim but can not tread water. Probably because I've never truly gave it a shot in deep water. I do a lot of water related activities though. Even went white water rafting a few weeks ago and jumped off a 15-20' rock. I was almost the last one to jump...the old man in front of me convinced me to do it. I even had a life jacket on.
I seriously see some Man card revokage'ness in this thread Some of you guys are just gonna have to man up
I see a lot of girly men on here. The only thing that I'm remotely afraid of is obese person falling on me.
The fact that PT actually thinks he's going to win this year! lol. Parachute not opening is number 1. Thus, I haven't sky dived in 33 years now. Suffocating. Heart attacks
When I was 13... we were play football with our cousins. The older cousin was pushing 400 lbs if not more. He was huge !!! I was on his team. He was trying to catch my brother ( Pat ) who had the football. I was coming in from the other side to tackle Pat. Pat is fast and shot by both of us. The ugly collision between my cousin and I was unavoidable. We were going too fast to stop. I remember everything going dark as I was violently slammed to the ground with him coming down on top of me. I figured I was dead. I remember my brother screaming " Get off him... your killing him !!!!!!! ". LOL I know I was still alive when the pain began. The thought of being crushed or pinned where I can't move... is my biggest fear. Getting chewed on by a shark while drowning is my next biggest fear. If I never see the ocean that is fine with me. Tim
