Are there any newer makes/models of hunting bows that you can still get a total package for around $400?

I've been on my Dad the last few seasons...he still has the original PSE round wheel ancient compound from back when we started...it kills deer, but rarely pass-through and he's holding back way more weight then he should be with aging joints. I'd love a newer 60lb bow with higher letoff...more accurate, quieter, and powerful than his current set-up.

    ...any suggestions?

I think there are brand new PSE packages in that price range. You may also want to look a used bows to get down to that price.

Here are some ideas to get you started.....you might even find something. I bought my current bow off e-bay 4 years ago for under $200..bought a site and arrow rest and it all totalled around $400.

    Good luck

Simple, buy a top of the line used bow 1-3 years old and have a $1000 setup for that price you are looking for. Watch AT classifieds, they are out there. Bows depreciate rapidly. I would rather have a used top of the line bow 1-3 years old than a cheap middle of the road bow brand new for the same amount of $$ that isn't as high as quality, fast, quiet, and hand shock free. I have bought or traded for several bows on AT doing just this.
