do I need to download on my new BB Storm (Verizon Network)? Let me know which ones you can't live without. Not wanting to spend a bundle here though.

From the sound of it, you don't NEED any apps. You're still alive and will be without any apps.!

Berry Converter - to convert measurements such as distance area etc...
Ebay - if you do any buying from there
CrackBerry App Store - they have apps you can not get in the BB app world
Berry Weather - costs a few bucks but it is by far the best weather app.
Slacker Radio - there are others but this one has a great search + you can cache stations
Poynt - this app is the best for searching for businesses, restaurants, or people. Plus it will map it for you.
Google Maps - they are great too.
tether - this is a great app that allows you to use the BB as a modem without monthly fees. Read up and don't go braggin to the VZW store. It can be had for 29.00 when on sale.
    Audible - audio books
    Games - Tetris, Nintai,
My Verizon - for tracking you account

I am a baseball fan so I have MLB.com. Others that I have are ScannerRadio, Coin Toss, Fitdeck and Calorie Counter.

I would suggest going to Crackberry.com if you have not already and check the posts there for information and there are any answers that you are looking for. It is one heck of a lot better than you average VZW rep.

The wife and I have BB Storm's as well. I am pretty knowledgeable on them and with BB in general. let me know if you have any questions.

tapatalk-gives the ability to post "live hunts" complete with pics
    Thw weather Channel

I'm just getting started with my HTC Hero200 and I'm loving this thing.

How does this blackberry messenger thing work? Do I even want to use it?

I see that the UAE wants to ban blackberrys because of it.... so I figure it must be something good. Ha.

So you got you tether at Crackberry? I need to do that.

I have Vlingo it is a voice activated internet search it will also read your emails or text to you and let's you respond verbally.

Don't get the flashlights, all you have to do is set your video camera to have the light on and it's free.

Blackberry Messenger is used for texting between 2 Blackberry phones without using texting charges, it works through your data plan. To use it you need to exchange your Blackberry messenger "PIN" with another Blackberry owner.

Thnx. I have unlimited texting so I guess it's no big deal then.

BTW, this appears to be my PIN: 217A8C2B Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. :)

Christine, I just added you, you will need to confirm. This is great for BB groups. We should get one going here. This means that we can send a message to the entire group and have group chats. Perfect for hunting season. One message goes to everyone. Can send pics too.

Tether is very much worth it. I use it at the cabin or while on the road. Only for emails or download a quick map or check the radar. for 50 bucks only paid once. If you watch Crack berry every day, they have specials where it is 25.
