Time to get yourself a small caliber rifle and get some target practice. Those things can do a lot of damage left unchecked.

Ground hog, Its the only animal in Maryland that you can hunt all year around and 7 days a week. Also you don't need a hunting lic.

You boys are missing out. May I introduce you boys to a hillbilly delicacy. Those are definitely groundhogs. And they are delicious. It's a dark meat, nice and tender, and it's damn good. Highly recommend them.

Stick an arrow through one when you get the chance and cook him up.

This is mind blowing to me. I have over 100 of these guys living on my farm. You literally can't go 50 yards without stepping in a hole. My brothers kill 20-30 a year...apeice.

Same here. We've got so many groundhogs in MD that somebody mentioned above there is no close to the season. They're literally everywhere...yards, highways, businesses.

I read somewhere last year that a lot of the small critters go in cycles. Last year was supposed to be a big year for rabbits and I think they were right because I'm seeing them everywhere. Few years ago I hardly seen any. Maybe they've been "out of cycle" for lack of a better term.
