This is my first G2G, everybody give me an idea of what to expect next weekend. My computer crashed several months ago so I haven't gotten the chance to read all the surely awesome threads going on. So, what's going down? Ill be getting there sometime Friday, not sure exactly when though, all depends on travel. Someone give me the scoop!
First off, Friday breakfast is not be missed. Fergus makes this chorizo scramble that is out of this world. Be glad that your not a frog. Know your age, and don't try to drink the 20 something y.o.'s under the table or you'll end up on You tube. Bring your fishing rod, there are ponds u can fish w/o license. Bring your own food. Fri night is annual Fergus Bonfire where the smack talk really begins, and the practice rounds prove who''s talkn & who's walkn the walk. Sammiches for dinner, for a few bucks, by yours truly. and they will be the world's best damn vension sammiches you've ever had. Fri night is what legends are made of. There may even be a single person Triathalon event if Fergus is up to it. Sat morning we usually go out for breakfast at the local diner. If your BC's age, you get the senior discount. If your like Dubbya, you'll order the "deluxe" salad w/ll the fixins', tomato wedge & slice of cuccumber. The shoot starts at 0800. people get put on teams. You shoot the event. Lunch, smacktalk. More shooting, awards, prizes. New bow up for raffle. Dinner is lunch leftovers, more said smacktalk, pounding of chest by the winners of various events. Back to camp for more bonfire antics. Sunday morning football game, where someone will make You tube for sure. Go out for breakfast and everyone on their way home. You won't be dissappointed. If you need some last minute pro-shop stuff, Raceway will take to where he goes,(Walmart) .
What are you in for? There is absolutely, NO WAY....anybody could even begin to give a clue. Hell, we don't even know what WE'RE in for from year to year. There could be more unconscious vomiting, we could defended from killer bull frogs......there might be an upset child in the morning when he can't find his bicycle, or finds it in the pond........ESPN may show up for triathlon coverage......There could be an epic football game which ends in someone getting punched in the face by their own TD spike........There could be someone peed on in the middle of night......we might be invaded by growling grizzly bears...........there might be melted sleeping bags.......some may migrate from tent to truck......there might be cookie crisp and milk, but NO BOWL...........There is positively NO WAY you can prepare yourself for what you're about to witness. Show up with an open mind and positive attitude. Cause without a doubt, it's gonna be a MONUMENTAL event.
I was going to stop by the camp on Friday to drop off the exploding targets but you guys are kind of scaring me. I'm definitely not leaving any incendiary devices around you.
You and K have to stop by, ya just got ta!! I promise, ill take the devices and not let anyone shoot em until sat cross my fingers!! :D
That's the thing. I think K won't be coming up until Saturday. So a sweet, innocent and perfectly harmless person like myself would feel pretty out of place.
So running in a pink thong in the triathalon would really make it on youtube? I told you Blood! Leave that thing at home! You dont want to be on youtube!
Now you did it, I about had her convinced and now she knows about the pink thong :D:D besides, it matches my grey chest hairs!!
