I bought my bow at Archery Country and they were real helpful. As soon as I have a chance I'm going to take my bow up there and have them add a kisser button and ask them about it. I think more than anything you guys are all right and it's more of a form issue than anything. I went out and shot at 30 yards for a half hour or so. I did alright starting off and I'm guessing I got a little sloppy towards the end as things started to open up. The other thing I noticed towards the end is that I don't know if it's an issue with my glasses or what but on the last group I closed my left eye and and the pins went from an odd blur to a perfect line and I could see them remarkably better. It felt weird to shoot with an eye closed but tomorrow or the next day when I get out to shoot again I'm going to try keeping an eye closed the whole time and see if that makes a difference.
Archery country in St Cloud or Rogers? I was serious about a lesson I know a guy in Zimmerman at Tales and Trails that will help a great deal in 1 hour. Most people build up to both eyes open, that and a kisser may just help you.
That is normal. With two eyes you are focused more on the target, with one eye you are focusing more on the pin.
If you are hitting good at 40 then I doubt it's a tuning issue. I group better at 30 than I do at 20 and 40.
Funny you mention this, I can't shoot with both eyes open my right eye doesn't have a strong dominance and so I have to close my left eye. I was watching a professional competition and there was a lady representing Mexico. She had the most amazing green eyes they gave her a close up while she was shooting and she had both eyes open, I tried both eye open and I could not clearly make out the sight housing to peep aperture well enough. I wonder what the percentage is of both eyes v one eye shooters.
