    6. They still perform very well when they are pretty beat up.

Along with those very good reasons and especially tied into number 5 is the clean up when replacing all or even just one fletch. You pull the feather and tape off of the shaft, rub any remaining sticky stuff off with your thumb, wipe spot with denatured alc. and put on new fletch. It is also extremely easy to remove and replace just one fletch.

I would recommend Truflight feathers myself. They have good bases (functionality) and I also like the barring they do better (aesthetics).

I feel like a native american when shooting feathers! Just a better design by nature I think!

Water/rain has zero effect on feathers. None. So there is nothing that needs to be done about it.

They make a cooler sound when they are flying through the air.

I use fletch tape. For me, I would not use glue on feathers as long as fletch tape is available. I always use a helical jig and as much offset as I can get on whichever shaft I am fletching.

I almost strayed from my Blazers this year for the tiny Razyrs, but decided against after some persuasion. Why change something perfect? I don't have clearance issues, they steer any BH far better than I have the ability to discern between feathers (as I expect for 90% of the boards capabilities as well, if there truly is a better option), and they are indestructible...and I mean that. They NEVER get flawed. When I shot feathers, they didn't seem to last very long before they would come apart and be eye sores. I have NEVER had a blazer come off, look flawed, bend, waiver, you name it. I put a big drop of glue on the front edge of the blazer, and that thing will never mess up.

Not to mention anyone who shoots a whisker biscuit, it would be insane to shoot anything but blazers from a WB.

That's my lopsided rebuttal to the use of feathers. No problems with water, wearing out, freezing up.

well I have tried to get this QAD to tune but it is giving me fits, My Blazers are just nicking one side of the rest, and to be honest, until I backed up to 35 yds, I didn't notice anything flying but true....but true out to 28 yds is not want I want, I want tru all the way through... so I will make some adjustments on the rest and go to feathers and see what happens...

I am not worried about "pretty", the feathers are still effective even when half gone. Try that with a blazer ;). I have arrows I am shooting right now that have had the same feathers on them for over a year. I just don't shoot groups much because, even with blazers, it tears up your fletching and damages arrows. Yes, I have had arrows rip blazers in half and that renders that arrow no good until it is refletched. Feathers just keep on keeping on.

There are insane people tha shoot feathers through a biscuit and have no problems.

And yes, with feathers there are no problems with water, wearing out or freezing up.
