what accessories are needed on a compound bow to be hunt ready

    I am about to get my first bow, it's used. It is a diamond hunter 2009. Im wondering what accessories are needed on a compound bow to be hunt ready? It just has a sight on it. its the bow on the left.

    Looks like the only thing you'll need is a rest and arrows and you're good. Stabilizers aren't necessary to hunt but help with accuracy and vibration dampening and quivers help transport arrows a lot easier but if you want the bare minimum to hunt you don't need them either.

    thank you, im trading a handgun for it, I plan on buying a rest,a whisker bisket and a release when I get it.

    Yep you can get up and shooting pretty quick, I would worry about shooting targets well before you buy a bunch of add ons.

    Like Davidingle said some arrows and a rest if your looking for a good rest for not a lot of money I like the wisker biscuit I used it for years!! also make sure your arrows have broad heads on them :lol:

    Maybe a release? Don't necessarily need one I guess but something to think about.

    Without a release, You run the risk of the string jumping the cam if you don't pull back straight.
