So I was headed into work this morning at about 545am. Was thinking about how much I'd rather be chasing whitetails during the rut then going to training. Going down the highway at 60 mph I hear my friend in the back seat say "deer...Deer!...DEER!!!!!" and as I slowly open my eyes in the front passenger seat all I see is a massive back and get out "OH SH" BOOM. All 10 airbags went off. We pull over to the side of the road and question the driver on why he didn't swerve. "I didn't see it I looked the wrong way!". Needless to say his brand new car was totaled and a great deer was dead after it slid more than 80 yards down the highway. I took the antlers off and will use them for rattling from now on. It sucks that such a nice deer died but at least we will always have a good story and I will always be putting his antlers to good use. (I broke a bone in my hand and everyone else just had bad whiplash). Needless to say we were lucky thats all that happened! Hopefully these pictures load up right!!!
Definitely not that way ya wanna get one. Good it sounds mostly no one got hurt though. I've hit so many probably can't even count them now, seems it alway best to just keep goin and not swerve. Better to hit a deer then roll over in a ditch.
Yep. It is easier said than done but they teach us not to swerve for fear of the roll-over. Best thing is you are all realitively unhurt.
