This morning picked tomatoes, grapes and apples with the wife. Then, hung a stand where Schultzy had his stand last year. After that, put up a trail cam on the trail that goes right by the stand. After cleaning up, we went to Des Moines and had lunch with the kids and granddaughter. Bought the jars to make salsa before coming home. Stopped on the way to get a photo of a huge sailboat out on Lake Red Rock. After getting home, pulled the bow out, waxed the string, drilled the bulls eye 6 times in a row. Knock out a little homework and I can call it a wrap! What did you do today?
Sounds like a great day! Got up went fishing, got home shot the bow for about an hour. Cooked out with the family an drank tasty bush lights!!! Been a fun day with family an friends!
My day wasn't near as productive. I took the kids, niece and nephew to McDonald's for lunch. Then they played around the house while I restrung my waterfowl decoys. Now I'm just poking around on the internet and working ahead for tomorrow.
Scouted public land, got access from landowner to cross/ hunt her land going into public, sat a the mall for three hours while my wife shopped. Grilled steaks ready for bed.
I was on nights so I got off yesterday at 7AM. Slept a few hours and the wife, kid, and I went to the Natural History Museum about an hour from the house. Just a relaxed day.
Spent the day at the lake with the family, fishing, swimming, a little picnic, and some paddle boating. Good day
Likewise, isn't that what we working class folks are supposed to do to pony up that OT so we can pay for the entitlement sector in this country.... But I spent the weekend playing, fishing, paddling a new kayak I picked up last week, smoking 4 pork shoulders to feed family and work family when I went back to work Sunday and Monday.... So I enjoyed mine a little early. I caught several 5 - 7# cats ranging from 25 - 29", and my wife and nephew both caught FishOhio qualifying sunfish that were 10.5 and 11 inches long... And both of my daughters 6 & 9 enjoyed paddling around on the kayak by themselves as well.
