I was eleven or twelve when I got my first shot at a deer with archery tackle. I missed the doe, not once but twice! That's all I needed though, I was hooked forever after that.
That right there is enough to bring a tear to your eye. Congrats Joe, you are a lucky guy and a great dad. Good luck to the both of you this fall.
What a great picture. It is evident that you are proud of your son as you should be. I will only wish HIM good luck this season as I know YOUR season is about him anyway.
That is great to see, looks like he really was having a blast. It is a great feeling to put someone on deer on their first bowhunt, I was fortunate to have that happen with my little brother.. That really does make 'em hooked for life! Great pic, good luck to you both this season
Thanks Bry, I tell ya, I was holding em back a little when he said that! Sure did make me feel good, I'm a proud papa! Thanks everyone... my season is already a successful one and I didn't even loose an arrow.... Good luck to all this fall!
Very nice. It's great to see kids still getting involved in our sport. You two are going to have a blast.
Choking at the moment of truth... Typical Red Wings fan... Tell the boy to get back on the horse. And change allegiances to a team that can actually WIN a hockey game.
Quik, thats was uncalled for! :D:D Go Wings! No worries brother, he has been back on the horse a few times since then, he is fired up!
I too am hunting with my son in his first year.He has already had a bout with turkey fever and missed at 5 yards. Hopefully we can both post success photos/videos in the near future.
