this is the answer to the old thread about what will be the downfall of this country. The answer is the legal system. This kid gets off because his parents failed him? Things like this and all the millions of dollars in lawsuits people have won because of their own stupidity. The end is nearer than I thought.

Unfortunately this is nothing new, this is just one of the more blatant examples.
Leonard Little killed a lady while intoxicated, still got to play the next season.
Vikki Weaver gets shot by a trained sniper while unarmed holding a baby.
If I did any of those things I'd be getting a colon inspected, and not by a doctor.
There are a whole host of examples why myself and others have zero faith in the justice system, these a just a few.
If you have enough money and or power, you are above certain laws.

First off I cannot believe the verdict. Secondly, I cannot believe this was actually tolerated in Texas.

And lastly and with little to linkage to this case, I watched a great show on Wyatt Earp the other day. They said he was a solid lawman until the day a rich punk murderer was set free after killing a woman. They said the kids dad paid off the judge. After that, Earp took matters into his own hands if he felt their would not be justice.

Just wow. I'm in awe after reading that. The funny thing is I don't think he was banned from continuing to enjoy his parents money, the very thing that he blamed.
